  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Emotionless

At first I thought David was kind of a jerk, but the rollercoaster of emotions Mary takes us on in the first couple pages alone is indeed exhausting. But, as dramatic as she is, this is WHO she is. And unfortunately, it takes a major swing in the opposite direction to remind David that is exactly what makes her the woman he loves. A fun and expressive two-hander.

This broke my heart. Roxie is such a good girl. Everything she does is out of love. We all should have a Roxie in our lives to protect us. And this play proves that maybe we do? Even when it seems we are being abandoned, we may be protected by tough love.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: The Patient - Full Length Thriller

I am always impressed with the way the clues are set up in a good thriller! Kaminski takes us on such a journey of revenge and murder! I was tense through the whole script, wondering what was going to happen next. Just when you think all the pieces are in place, you're yanked in a new direction. A great thriller to add to your season.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Baba Mikey

What starts as a sweet moment of vulnerability and love a new father has for their newborn child, takes a devastating turn. But despite the turn, the love is unwavering. This will be a great moment for an actor to show their soft side!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: The Tarantula's Pet Frog

Oh this is just adorable! I recently read about spiders keeping small frogs as "pets" and this was just a delightful way to bring that article to life. This would be super fun to stage, too! Very intelligent and many layers to the emotional journeys of all three characters.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: After Happily Ever After

Isn't it the truth? The fairy tales we grew up on were just a means to an end of the book photo opportunity. After the last page, what happens? But we can't stand there in our heavy gowns, waving and smiling forever! Funny piece. Would be fun to stage. Great for your student performers!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Euripides, You Buy-a Dese

I was laughing out loud at the SMART jokes in this play! I actually feel a little smarter after reading it. But is it "too soon" for Pompeii jokes? I'm not sure what the philosophy is on that. But it's still hilarious! If you're a fan of "father jokes" with a little bit of historical education behind them, this is the play for you!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: The Little Boy's Idea of Heaven Was This (a Monologue)

What a sweet monologue from a boy burdened with accepting and educating the world about the ineffable. He is relatable and has the same fears and questions we all do.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Little Boy (a one minute play)

My heart dropped reading this one minute play. It hits hard and true and honestly would be a killer PSA campaign!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: The Door

The emptiness we feel after the loss of a loved one feels like a big empty room. In THE DOOR, the loss of a loved one includes a loss of self. A fear of the unknown keeps many of these characters from moving on. They remain in their grief. They remain in the room, avoiding that door that could either lead to something worse...or better. This play leaves the living a lot to think about, too. Leaving a room of grief isn't for everyone, especially if you have a support system inside your room.
