Aw! This frantic monologue actually has a moment of sweetness woven into it that made my heart smile. We all know a Kim Newberry...we may even BE a Kim Newberry! A fun monologue for an actor to tackle!

OMG! This is hilarious and also a bit of a revelation to me, too! If Tinkerbell can be forgotten, how does a schlub like me fare!? This is a very relatable and funny monologue. Great for auditions!

The audience becomes a guest in Angela's home on an ordinary day in her life. However, Angela is a wonderful host and regales us with delightfully funny and relatable stories as the day goes on! Some disagreements she has with her husband ring very familiar! A great piece to showcase a very strong and engaging actor!

These snapshots from these 6 women's lives feel very real and special. This would be an amazing piece for one actor to showcase their character work, or 6 women to share a special evening performing together.

Wow! The family mysteries and secrets keep exploding in this fast paced play! The characters are all so fun, distinct and relatable. I was on the edge of my seat as each new mystery and secret was revealed. It was fun to watch the characters squirm through the revelations. I'm definitely going to adopt some of their "old family sayings" in future!

This sent me right back to my college theatre days. Sarah is perceived to be so strong because she merely exists how she is, so people feel they can say and do anything around her and she will "handle" it. This story is so real and relatable. I hope someone can film this so that it can be played at the start of every semester in the theatre departments! We should all proudly occupy our space!

What a great character piece! The Boss Lady is someone we all know...or actually are! She shares with us her low point at the drive thru and drives us straight to her own beauty chair! A comic journey through the annoyance of fast food service to the joys of being your OWN boss!

This is a powerful story about family and the strength it takes to get through a "game changer." Theatres can utilize its setting during the holidays to their schedule's advantage as well. Great roles and moments for all 5 of the characters. Perfect for church theatres as well as professional!

These characters are all so well defined, smart and vibrant. It seems they are at their own "perihelion" where they are so close to what they want and who they want to be, but the goals are harder to see when they are obscured by the sun.
Just a fascinating piece of history/science/society all in one play.

What a beautiful subject to tackle. A very special monologue for a very strong actress. Full of history, wonder, sorrow and as always, a little humor. Just the kind of recipe you expect from a Lee R Lawing dish!
