  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Don't Lose Your Head

I love the goofiness of this short at the start, but when Carol gets to have her mini OUR TOWN-like breakdown of how little time she has left, the audience will definitely be moved. Just in time for the big physical comedy gag at the end! Absolute fun for Halloween!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Imaginary Friends

This is sweet and sad at the same time. A great piece for a group to work on together and like an open scene, the possibilities are limitless with what can be done with this piece visually!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: To The Moon!

I love the premise of a contest winner absolutely detesting their prize but still accepting the prize to keep up a little white lie in a relationship.
Joe is in it deep and it is fun to watch him squirm as Allison and Maria interrogate him while pushing him toward his fear. And Joe does make some valid points about the moon.
Such a fun 3 hander for actors and designers!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: The F Word

Elise and Mags are a great couple...and a great team! We start out at a very weak point in their lives, Elise being sick and Mags having left another job. But when they put their heads together, the magic they create is amazing. Elise makes some very interesting points about the dreaded "F word." I think this is the first step in de-stigmatizing it and seeing it for the great tool it really is!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: The Bronte Solution

I, like many other writers, am a big fan of the Brontes. It's no surprise the trio of writers in this play are as well. But each character is very distinct and developed. I love the relationships and the way they poke at each other. I seriously think this play deserves to be full length! I want to see more about Bettina's struggle to be a writer as well as Vivian's struggle with self doubt. But I especially want to see the story leading up to how, the supposedly successfully published writer, Angie, ended up moving in with her sister!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: GOING THROUGH HELL

Wow. The ending of this play had me holding a tissue to my face as I held back as many tears as I could. This is such a beautiful tale of love and loss. There is so much to this play, I bet if I watched it performed and then read it again I would find more details and reasons for my heart to swell. I also love that we only know Ralph's true love's name as "Bike." Because his real name is not ours and never will be ours to possess. And Paul's speech before Hades? M'wah! Just love!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Hocking Murray

I have considered this route for many years, because a diamond IS forever. But Simon is so right in saying "every diamond has a flaw." The stories behind our diamonds/marriages are so faceted that in certain light they do look perfect and in other light, they lose their shine. This play goes deeper than I expected and it will have audiences thinking about the subject matter for a long time...possibly "forever." Well done.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Imperfect Storms

I'm breathing deeply and holding back tears from this magical play about very real tragedies and heartbreaks. It somehow makes the loss of love that much more tragic. Especially when the love didn't die, it just couldn't fit in this corner of time anymore. That is the worst loss of all...just beautiful. A painting of words.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Letters for Eunice (A Civil War Correspondence)

Classic Busser puns abound! This time...from a surprising time and place, the Civil War! Innuendo and In your endos abound, but I definitely had a good laugh at the twist in the end. It's about time the Civil War got the good ribbing for our pleasure it deserves!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Crooked Parts

My heart swells for this family. This is such a beautifully framed story of family and and struggles. It's so relatable to see how some characters are so fearful and scarred by change while others need it so desperately and that disparity is what makes them hurt each other, but never from a lack of love. I would love to see this as a film, it would be magic.
