  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Home Truth (Ten Minute)

Wow. The truths in this play are very hard and very honest. And like in life, there are no easy answers. But just having the conversation is important enough. Very powerful. Very difficult to witness.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Oh, Mince (Pies)! (from HOW MY PRINCE CHARMING TURNED OUT TO BE A FROG)

The multi-lingual word play is delightful and I can see this delivered in a fast paced comedic way, the way a couple that is very familiar with one another's quirks would converse. So relatable, even though I know little to no French. But so much fun.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Reap What You Sow (a short play)

Dale the reaper is a great character and I am definitely looking forward to seeing that periwinkle ascot! We all have mistakes and regrets in our lives, but if we continue to ignore them, like AJ, we will never become better humans. The scene with his patient Sean is particularly poignant and moving.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Everyday Monsters

This play shook me to my core. It comes in hot and never releases you until the very end. It's true that hurt people hurt people, but Douglas made a career out of being a hurtful monster and justifying it as love. The triggers are pulled metaphorically as well as literally for Timothy and Douglas, as well as the audience, are left with the mess. Absolutely heartbreaking and important work.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Cue

I was literally wiping tears away as I read this...from laughing so hard! The lengths Mary and John go to to set up Tom's entrance cue every time are just so brilliantly weird! I will never order an unsexy pepperoni pizza ever again. Actors will be fighting to be cast in this piece!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Meet the Family

Franklin would be such a fun role to play! So much physical comedy, while the rest of the cast tries hard not to crack up and play the rest of the scene straight. Audiences will be roaring with laughter right alongside dear Franklin. Hilarious short!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Feeling Devilish

This is such a funny, sassy little play. We all have a friend that is with someone we just can't understand. Stevie is hilarious trying to come to terms with his best friend Roger's new love interest. And not just because the guy's a lawyer!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: The Mrs. Claus Experiment (4)

I love how matter of fact this is handled, after the initial opening startle. But absolutely societal goals here. I wish we could all be more like elves. Including being made of candy!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: An Angel Comes to Brooklyn

The cards may have some influence in breaking some walls down with skeptic Brooklyn. You can see her squirm with each card reveal and as an audience member you know she wants to open up about something, but feels she can't. Luckily we all get a sigh of relief at the end.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: The First Sip

This is a fascinating piece about choices. How the choices we make when we're young can impact the choices we make when we're adults. The fears of making the same youthful mistakes and losing oneself, or realizing that with age can come restraint and wisdom. Lindy is an absolute tug of war with herself and Mark is merely a guide. And his patience is inspirational. Like RUSH once said "If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice!"
