Once again, RFW has convinced me she should be writing cinematic thrillers and serial crime dramas. The twists in this play are non stop, like a great roller coaster ride! I can even see this story continuing as there is so much character and chaos to mine from all these details. I bet it was absolutely mind-boggling visualizing the map in RFW's mind as this story was being concocted!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Seventh Inning Stretch (Ten Minute)

It feels like we all have the potential to become unwilling stars of a future viral video. Poor Max just had to have one of the hardest days of his life be immortalized and shared. However, when best friend Stuart comes in with tough love, brilliant perspective and patient support, it's easy to see a good story can continue even after the viral video is over!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Venus Needs Men

    O. M. G! I laughed out loud several times reading this! Lucas is every semi-articulate, able to stand upright man in every theatre district. This is absolutely hilarious...except for how much I relate to poor Marcy...sigh...There is so much room for interp of the women of Venus and if any theatre mounts this delightful piece, please let Marcy...er, let ME audition!!!!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: I Think We're Lost

Wow! This play is epic and dark and beautiful. The unreliable narrators are aplenty in this tale, not unlike real life. The trope of "boys will be boys" and "girls are always more mature" also hits hard. But there are so many layers to this all wrapped in a familiar, fairy tale package. A wonderful piece to tackle and bear witness to.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: A Crossing

This play hit me so hard. It's so easy to wake up like Heather. But what a gift to meet a Joey. There is so much poetry in this piece. It's almost like a self help book that changed my life, THE FOUR AGREEMENTS. Listening to Joey and feeling like Heather, an audience member very well might change their perspective. But also listening to Heather and feeling like Joey can help open an audience member to see and reach out to the Heathers of the world. Absolutely beautiful play.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: The Thatcher Theater Terror

This is a fun one act for students to perform during spooky season! The fear of success is very real and it is well illustrated through the antics of these very well defined characters. Also a great piece for some special effects work to shine!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Appetizers, or "On an Island Somewhere"

As satirical this situation is, it is also a little chilling. There are people who really want this "island somewhere" and to see the characters struggle with wanting to be themselves, but also wanting to "go home," it's heartbreaking. Alice can't even have a dog?! Come on! This is a very powerful piece!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: A Primitive Species

Once again, Rachel Feeny-Williams has convinced me she should be writing episodic television! This is such a great piece, I feel like it would be a Twilight Zone or Tales from the Darkside episode people would continue to talk about and analyze for years. An instant classic! We immediately know who the villain is in this play, but we have no idea how dark things can get for him. If expanded this would be a very cool horror film script!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Body Horror

Honesty. Honesty and frank conversations would have saved a lot of little girls (and possibly little boys) a lot of confusion and possible self-hate. Plays like this remind me of how confusing and scary puberty was...but also...hilarious! Luckily Rosemary and Mary Rose have each other and can be honest with each other and the information they have access to at least. The honesty of this short play is what makes it so very wonderful and powerful!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Man's Next Friend

I love how easily the AI life form and dog can be compared as companions. For good or bad. People can be afraid of both, rationally or irrationally. People can abuse them, too. And without proper care from their human owners, they will never reach the good potential they can achieve. Watching Daisy and Champ interact and learn from each other and their environment would be very fun for the audience. But the most fun will be had by the actors embodying these delightfully quirky characters!
