  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Free! Powerful Muscles Fast!

Body image affects us all. Mike shares his vulnerable awakening in his youth, but also shares a very wise insight about Superman's overly and unnecessarily muscled physique. A very honest monologue.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: The Furniture Store

Oh. My. God. I have never been so tickled or disturbed at the same time. I honestly want this to be printed as a very short graphic novel...maybe a graphic pamphlet. So very weird. So very Prillaman. If this is your first experience with a Prillaman Play, it will not be your last! Unlike poor Kenneth, who is now free?

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Lou And Bud Kill Their Dad

One of the most famous comedy sketches of all time now has a dark twist. The characters of Bud and Lou are broken and feral. What should have brought them joy instead brought them to the edge, taking the audience along with them. Sad and truly creepy, but will leave you with a twisted smile.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Two Cats Explain the Monstrous Moth Group

A TED talk about time, dimension and evolutionary biology, presented by two adorable and brilliant cats. It's like watching a split screen for people who like high brow infotainment on one side and people who like slapstick comedy and goofy characters on the other side. I feel a little smarter after reading this! But did you see the cute kitties, too?!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Seal Island

Story theatre at its most magical. Like a poem told in emotions and fog and light. An economical faerie tale that will stir imaginations and hearts.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: It's Not Blood

Heartbreakingly real snapshot of brothers at one of their darkest points as a family, trying to make it mean something while trying to keep things "normal." After such a tragedy, nothing will ever feel "normal" again, but their is some comfort in knowing Jimmy and Danny have each others backs.

  • I can see this narration happening very close to the audience, while the memory itself plays out like a dream ballet behind the man speaking. This is an important memory to him. It is important enough that he can describe it so vividly we can see and hear his heart. You feel the end of the cha-cha, with a mix of relief and sadness that the song has ended, but delightfully a new song begins. The story may have ended, but the song and our imaginations continue.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: The Challenge

The character of Victoria is delightfully chaotic! What a fun role! The banter is fast paced and I love awkward social interactions like this. The audience will, too!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Lazarillo de Tormes

This has the feel of a fun folktale, young and old will love the physical comedy. Lazarillo is a hero audiences can cheer for and look forward to further adventures with him!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: St. John of Suburbia

These characters feel so much like characters I loved in the romantic comedies of the 90s. And as a fellow Gen Xer, I feel a kinship with the world of quirky accessories and cool zines displayed in this play. I honestly feel like this play IS a movie I loved and I need to pull the VHS tape out and watch it again so I can memorize the dialogue and say it along with the characters. This is love, and nostalgia, and yet still VERY original characters you will want to get to know!
