  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: The Matriarch

This is the start to the most intriguing mafia movie we've ever seen! It's characters like Janika that we as audiences need to see more from!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: He Ain’t No Stephen Adly Guirgis

I love that these two creatives come together on this "dog" of a play and, despite their agreement that it isn't well written, they respect that nothing of the author's work should be changed. Instead they change intentions and props and make it something that could actually work! This is a testament that theatre making is a group project and magic can happen in the worst of situations!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: #NO SUCH THING (monologue - about 6 minutes)

Wow! This is like the opener to the next great horror film! The innocent enough setting, but the talk goes to guilt and selfish infidelities. The perfect set up for the horror to commence! This would be a great opener for an evening of short horror plays, too. What a great tone setting piece!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Levi and the Misfit Museum - One Act

I love a good art museum play! This one is especially great because it has such fun roles for young actors. This would be such a fun piece to put on stage with your student performers!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Unnecessary Beauty (a monologue)

A love letter with ground rules! Absolutely necessary! Honesty and boundaries should not kill the beauty and romance of the moment. This is practically a modern sonnet. Rupe earns that kiss and cuddle at the end!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: The Eyes, The Nose, The South of You / The East, West, North, and the Mouth of You (two parts of the one-minute play series Destination: Wedding)

This is just a snapshot of joy. Of the perfection two people can find in one another. And the perfection the rest of us can witness they have for one another. And inner monologue is sometimes louder than the moment that is currently happening before you, but luckily in this moment, we have the ability for replay.

  • I love this thoughtful monologue. There is so much truth in Connor's words. Even the last line! Absolutely terrific, introspective monologue for a young performer!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: PLAY NICE! (full length)

This is a powerful play for young actors. Through pretend they deal with some very harsh realities. Magical and upsetting at the same time.
A tour de force for the whole production team to execute!
A great piece to encourage discussion after about appearances and growing up.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Iggy's Curse

The characters in this one act are so strong and clear. I feel like I could see them on a weekly show and never tire of them. Iggy's fear of his curse is so sweet and sad and his relationship with his mother is just so wonderful. The ending is truly a heart-breaking surprise.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: In The Whole History of Hi-Q

We've all known someone that was so certain of their intelligence that they spoke pompously while misusing the big words they threw around like weapons. If we haven't met them in person, they are everywhere on social media. But in Hi-Q, intelligence IS everything. And arrogance will destroy you. Tommy is a frustrating yet hilarious character. Great roles for student performers.
