  • Lisa Dellagiarino Feriend: Fishing for Fidelity

Oooh in this full length, a winning $50,000 lottery ticket threatens to tear two couples (and one friendship) apart. I love how the conflict grows bigger and bigger out of a piece of paper so physically tiny. I especially enjoyed the way discussions of Charles and Bianca's work on decision making and free will were peppered in as you watch four people wrestle with those very things.

  • Lisa Dellagiarino Feriend: The Street Has I's

This whodunit Sesame Street spoof is such a delight. A witty sendup to the show that raised us all, so deftly executed.

  • Lisa Dellagiarino Feriend: The Prime Cut

Yeess!! I KNEW there was going to be more to the Wagyu cows than met the eye originally, because that's how Aly Kantor works. Every detail is in service to the message of the play, and seeing where and how that's revealed never stops being a delight. This short is great.

  • Lisa Dellagiarino Feriend: Erstwhile

This short two hander about aging musicians perfectly captures both the feeling that your best artistic days are behind you AND the feeling that your best days, period, are behind you - even though you know, rationally, that those days weren't actually all that great. I especially loved how much they talked about the word 'erstwhile' without ever actually saying it.

  • Lisa Dellagiarino Feriend: Erstwhile (a Bascom and Isaac monologue)

Oh my gosh, I love this. LOVE IT. The dialogue in this monologue is so natural, and even though it's all over the place and you wonder where it's going, you realize by the end that it has been, from the start, a declaration of love. I love how Scott Sickles weaves a thousand threads together into a beautiful cohesive whole. Fabulous!

  • Lisa Dellagiarino Feriend: A Visible Hand

I really love this play and what it has to say about being an artist and why AI will never be one. What great acting opportunities for two teenage girls and a pair of adults over 50.

  • Lisa Dellagiarino Feriend: Erstwhile - 10 Minute Play

Woooow what a twist!! This short drama about a hitman on the run is a suspenseful ten pages with an ending I didn't see coming. I love the many-layered significance of his alias and how easy this play would be to stage on a budget without lessening the experience.

  • Lisa Dellagiarino Feriend: Erstwhile

What a sheer delight! This short makes a very good point while being very funny, which is my favorite kind of play. It's hard to feel preached at when you're laughing, and the takeaways tend to stick better, too. Mike Byham nails it.

  • Lisa Dellagiarino Feriend: Buried Treasure

The premise of trying to convince one's father who is freshly out of prison, having done 12 years for grand larceny, to dress as a pirate for his grandson's birthday party on Saturday is so funny to me. I love the back and forth here and the reveal at the end.

  • Lisa Dellagiarino Feriend: Erstwhile (or An Assassins Erstwhile Poem)

An assassin who writes poetry - We all contain multitudes! The visuals in this short are fantastic, of the assassin alternating between prepping for the assassination and composing a poem to pass the time as they wait for The Moment. I especially like open-ended conclusion.
