  • Dana Hall: A Certain Pedigree

I had a french poodle and this was totally her personality. So much fun and a great perspective on inclusivity. We fear what we don't know or perhaps are threatened by it but if we learn to move past that and open our hearts it can enrich our lives.

  • Dana Hall: Alone, Alone, Alone, Alone, Alone [a 1-minute play]

The setting alone shook me. A void- so powerful- it takes an internal experience and externalizes it with simple beauty. The fragility of the human condition and its longing for connection is captured here.

  • Dana Hall: Blind No. 7

A coming together of generations, packed with authentic dialogue and male bonding in a non-toxic and loving manner. It depicts the evolution of this family's understanding of masculinity and traditional roles. It shows when we truly love someone -love triumphs. Appreciate the arch of the father exploring his preconceived bias and upbringing to forge a relationship with his son.

  • Dana Hall: Art in Quotation Marks (A One-Minute Play)

What is art? Better yet what's it worth to you? An interesting exploration of original concepts, pop culture, and the moving mark of aesthetic value. I love plays that make me think about how characters may have arrived at their present feelings, there is so much to work with in this short, thought-provoking play.

  • Dana Hall: The Olfactory Soul

The exceptional ability that smells have to trigger memories — known as “the Proust effect” is alive and well in this well-crafted play. It gives off Twilight Zone vibes as it walks the line of reality and imagination in such a way the two become blurred. It immediately made me play along with what smells conjure up certain memories for me. What a wonderfully creative piece. I can see it in a series as well.

  • Dana Hall: The Fierce Urgency Of Now (Radio Script)

"You’re falling in love with a version of me that doesn’t exist." There are moments like this that just grab you from your seat and transport you right into the intricate worlds of these characters. The intensity of the high-powered NY ad agency fuels the overall turbulence but ultimately leads to Kyle finding himself in an unfamiliar situation that leads him on a path of self-discovery. The end had me chanting KYLE- KYLE- KYLE!! Love it and such a gratifying read!

  • Dana Hall: The Invitation

You can feel the internal conflict from the first moments of the play. It made me want to explore the moment before for both women. So much to delve into for an actor looking for a strong piece that can demonstrate their range. It is declarative and yet hopeful which leaves the audience to draw their own conclusions. Brava! Lovely piece.

  • Dana Hall: WE HAVE TO TALK

Sometimes we have to stop and listen instead of making assumptions. When our past comes up we have to be careful it doesn't interfere with our future. Thank you for this delightful piece and reminder.

A simple revelation can send us cascading down an emotional and existential rabbit hole. Those moments where we share a part of our childhood with our own kids are often filled with nostalgia and complexity. Thank you for capturing this beautifully.
