This piece offers wonderful levels of laugh-out-loud humour with a slightly spooky and mysterious undertone. Adding all that with the sense of nostalgia I felt when thinking back to the last time I went into a video store and Morey has nailed this play brilliantly! I won't say too much to reveal the story but those who have a fondness for classic movies and can remember when video rentals were a prominent part of their lives will relate to this play as well as be thoroughly entertained. Another wonderful piece in Morey's collection!

This play resonated with me so much! I could feel and understand Danny's pain at having his passion mocked and associating it with pain as a result and, while he wasn't on stage, I felt a seething rage towards the person that made him feel that way. That is the kind of emotional power Emily has created in this piece. Along side this she has created characters that were easy to relate to from the suffering creative to the supportive friend. A powerful piece to educate on how bullying can have a serious affect on people!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Question 29 (A Monologue)

So, while this may have been an embarrassing moment for Jo, you can't help but admire his honesty! In that Cora has created a very real scenario where a couple are sharing and that coupled with the story Jo shares are easily ones I could see in my mind's eye. Audiences will relate to this character, as will performers because we've all had embarrassing moments and that is what will make an audience feel for the character, which is a huge achievement for any piece of theatre! By the end the audience will be smiling in sympathy for poor Jo.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Quantum Eve

The story of Adam and Eve is one as old as time itself but here it takes on a whole new life! The nature of the language is wonderfully poetic as they discover, make mistakes and have realisations. Its a gloriously intense piece that would make great live performance but at the same time, if you closed your eyes and just listened to the dialogue you would be drawn in to question and consider, just as the characters themselves are doing. A fabulously curious piece that ingrains certain things on your mind that will dwindle long after curtain down!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Quack

AW! That was my out loud response when I finished reading this play! Without revealing too much of the plot (because you need to read it and have your 'aw' moment) its a piece that lures the audience in with an adorable relationship between two individuals and is superbly written. However, as an audience member, just when you think its going one way Patrick flips it on its head, hence my 'Aw'. It offers the entire spectrum of emotions while drawing the audience into this relationship before dropping the unexpected! What more could you want from a duck?

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: QUALITIES OF STARLIGHT

My God! This is the kind of play you need to sit back and take a breath when you've finished. "Qualities of Starlight" take a long hard look at the complicated issues of addiction and human relationships. Taking those very real ideas and mixing them in with the complex idea of the science surrounding the universe, truly brilliant! I'm honestly not surprised its had the accolades that it has. If you're looking for a production to draw an audience in and embrace powerful thoughts like " the universe isn’t passive or random. There’s always causality." this is for you!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: PSYCHO SANTA? (from the CRACKED UP CHRISTMAS COLLECTION)

This fascinating piece answers the question "how unusual can we make a piece about Christmas?" Set in a hospital, the doctors are faced with plenty of questions relating to questions, including some people who choose the figure of Santa into their very real life, or do they? Who is a patient and who is a doctor? And, most importantly, will Christmas happen after all? These are just some of the questions that will go buzzing round the brain of an audience member as they watch this unique take on the most wonderful time of the year!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: PAT AND BILLY: THE FINAL CUT

This wonderful piece offers the chance to open the audience's eyes, not only to the hell it can be to try and produce a film but also to the world of westerns, which was new to me. I loved, not only the debate about how the film should be made but the fact that the whole thing is lorded over by two producers who have come into the film making almost by accident and in them you have wonderfully funny and powerful characters to play. Its a piece that offers wonderful humour and would be great to stage/costume!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Pompadour (Bascom & Isaac #3)

As someone who has easily been distracted by something out of place when trying to have a conversation, I could relate to this wonderful play very well! Scott has a wonderful ability to capture what is human nature in this relationship comedy piece. Bascom and Isaac have a relationship that you can feel is real in the writing and the circumstance with 'the distraction' is something I've no doubt an audience will be able to relate to, which makes it feel all the more real. Bascom and Isaac have a series of shorts in their future, I can feel it!

Paul has always had a wonderful gift for creating characters you have a strong feeling towards and some of the things Sidney was coming out with I could feel a sense of seething bubbling to the surface! This only seemed to progress as I discovered just what kind of person Sidney was and the situation he's found himself in. Coupled with the characters, this piece is loaded with brilliant back and forth dialogue surrounding a crisis in the office. Its a brilliant piece that will entertain and have the audience debate afterwards how they would react!
