  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: If the Shoe Fits

A twist on the classic fairy tale dynamic is always fascinating and I loved this one! What would be the worst case scenario if Cinderella had just let midnight come and go? Would Prince Charming have still loved her for who she is once the glitter and glass is gone? If he didn't, would that change how all princes are seen? These are just some of the crazy questions running around my head when I'd finished reading this wonderfully witty twist of the Cinderella story. Plus I think Fairy Godmother would be a fab role to play.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Imaginary Friends

The world of wonderful imagination is something every playwright possesses and something Jeffery has explored in a fascinating, albeit it thoroughly emotional way. No only are the characters of Sasca, Leslie and Alice fascinating to listen to but in my minds eye, I could see the representation of their imaginations clearly. The writer has not just created a world but he's create a world with a world that is sure to leave an audience thinking about their own imaginary friends.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Izzy at Zoom Therapy

Classical text with a modern interpretation, taking a character and constructing a wonderfully intriguing conversation designed to bring to the surface there most intimate thoughts and feelings and encasing all of that in an online setting to further make it relevant to a modern audience. Those are the three things Jillian has done here and done spectacularly well. It offers brilliantly intriguing roles and a fabulously unique situation to play them in!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: I'm Gonna Need You to Log off for Me

Plagiarism vs Inspiration, its an intriguing debate that many creators have had and its one that Daniel has framed wonderfully here. Its a piece that offers not only real insight into what the world of A.I could be like but it does so with wonderfully witty back and forth dialogue that will provide ample laugh out loud moments. So, if you are looking for a relevant, funny and expertly constructed piece then this is the only for you!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: INTENTIONS MATTER

I've often said one of the signs of great theatre is making the audience feel something and that is definitely Jack has offered here. As an audience member, you are privileged to watch the story and the things the characters discover unfold and this is all provided by two very real characters going through some deeply emotional moments together. This is a play that is real and when it is performed, it is sure to make an audience feel that way.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Human/Divine

Never have I had so many questions on finishing reading a play! As a one-minute play William creates wonderful tension and leaves the audience with a multitude of questions that could easily allow this piece to be extended. In addition, he takes a scenario that you'd think would be yielded over by emotion and then applies cold logic to it in the form of probability and statistics. I love the piece as its framed but I would be keen to know if there is more to this woman and her logic and this man and what he's done?

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: How I Knew Her

I was once advised that everyone has a story/narrative and its important to honour that. That is what Allie has done wonderfully well here in creating a character who wants to honour other people's stories and that's what she does in her style of writing. In addition to that wonderful premise, she's created a wonderfully emotional interaction between what starts out as two strangers but through their own stories the audience are invited to discover more and more about them and what you end up with is a wonderfully intimate piece that an audience would be privileged to see.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: HELPER

Oh my god! This piece wrenches at your heart in different ways as it progresses. As someone who's looked after many dogs, I think Bailey is a wonderful portrayal of a human's best friend as they express their wonder and curiosity about their day and the person they look after but it doesn't just stop there. Without giving away too much of how the story unfolds, Rachael has created a wonderfully believable character that will probably have you looking at your dog a different way! She's then taken that character and wrapped it in a rollercoaster emotional journey. Fabulous!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Harry Vs James or The Cigarette Butt Incident

The wonderful idea of perspective is brilliantly explored here as Harry and James tell stories to their significant others but which is more accurate. The dialogue is wonderfully snappy and I could easily picture it flitting back and forth between the two men as the amusing reality of the stories they are telling unfolds. Then, as if that wasn't wonderful enough, there is a lovely little twist at the end that won't fail to tickle your funny bone. This piece is a prime example of how witty back and forth dialogue can be and would make a marvellous performance!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Heist!

Oh that was just what I needed! Lisa and the pair of bumbling thieves she has created offer wonderful laugh out loud moments as they try to succeed in stealing a diamond, not really knowing the history behind it. The chaotic back and forth between the two thieves as well as their interaction with the unseen characters they address is brilliantly done and would offer two performers the chance to execute a wonderfully timed farcical piece that is sure to have an audience laughing out loud.
