  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: A Typical STEM Job Interview

Previously when in job interviews I have found myself thinking, "really? you think that question is relevant/important?" well Sam has taken that situation and run with it as far as lunacy can go. Melanie is just a normal girl wanting to find a job and Charlotte's 'questioning' seems to be going out of its way to make the interview process as difficult as possible! Its a chaotic and hilarious piece that a lot of audience members will relate to. Wonderful pace with brilliantly funny dialogue, what more could you ask for!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Killer Opportunity

OH MY GOD! This piece is terrifying on so many levels. As an audience I would expect to see the audience get more and more uncomfortable as they watch the actions of the characters in this play. There's no moment of 'happily ever after' relief, not even close! That's what makes it work as a horrifying and tension loaded piece that will have an audience stunned from the very beginning. Theatre that makes us feel is always praised but there's nothing saying the feelings we have have to be positive, that's chat Christopher has created, and very well!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Oldest in the County

This seems like it could be a serial programme. The characters Deb has created here have wonderful interactions as you learn about their lives and the town they live in. I really wanted to be a fly on the wall during the wonderfully funny conversation and later for the brilliant twist! As a radio play its got amazing potential to draw the listener in with a desire to know more about this small town and its people!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: It'll be Fine

An emotional tidal wave is the best way I can describe this piece but in a wonderful way. Molly explores the human condition/emotional state during the worst possible time a person can go through. You join the collection of characters as they explore their emotional needs and coping mechanism. The way in which Molly has designed the characters makes you feel a heart wrench for what they are going through and express. Its a powerful and emotional piece that needs an audience!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Sincerest Condolences

I was intriegued by the premise of the play from the very first page, which is always a good start. From there Alex introduces you to a wonderful collection of characters and invites the audience to watch them take part in a story loaded with twists and turns that finds you leaning forward wanting to see how it unfolds. This is a piece that was made to be performed as audiences should be allowed to see it and enjoy laughing out loud, just like I did!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Before He Was Doomed

I read this piece twice and was in awe of the powerful imagery Chris has taken along with the wonderful poetic verse. This could make such a powerful performance piece, the words speak volumes and the right performers could only add to that. Its a piece that I think could be analysed and discussed when read and felt when performed. That makes it powerful writing.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Strauss

As somene who struggled with this brief for 28 Plays Later I love what Chris has created here. A wonderfully giggle inducing piece that creates a great snapshot of what is described by Andy as a peculiar and chaotic situation. So many questions came from this piece. That along with the smile made this a great piece to read and a wonderfully fun piece to enjoy from an audience perspective I'm sure.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Housekeeping

Horrific events like mass shootings are often remembered by the victims of the shooter and the shooter themselves. In this case however, Deb has brought to life another persepective, that of an innocent hotel maid who ended up being part of something she will most likely never forget for ther rest of her life. Deb has brought the character to life in a brilliantly real way and presented an audience very well constructed perspsective on a horrific event. This monologue would make a wonderful performance piece for any actress!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Conduct

It is said through time there has always been a 'battle of the sexes' but this brilliantly written piece by Randy Warren is so much more than that. As an audience member you watch the ball of gender equality fly back and forth between Viola and Maestro as your thoughts on their provokative dialogue fly with it. This is a pertinent piece for our society and is one that I believe could see audiences in the pub debating for hours. As a piece of social commentary theatre it is wonderfully done and I take my hat off to the playwright.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: The Drummer Boy: A Musical

The fact that there are so many plays about school shootings is a heartbreaking fact for our society but Jarred has taken this emotionally charged topic and explored it brilliantly. As an audience member you are privileged to a play that offers a multitude of perspectives surrounding this horrific tragedy, something which I feel is always important. You wouldn't normally think school shootings and musicals belong together but Jarred has taken a hard hitting issue and interlaced it with characters you feel for who proceed through this rollar coaster, taking the audience with them.
