  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Grandma's House

I always love a twist on a fairy tale and this one was BRILLIANTLY done! Having read a lot of Cole's work, I know he has a wonderful skill of building tension, keeping an audience guessing and creeping/scaring them. All of these he's done wonderfully here. I don't want to say too much for fear of ruining it but this is a tale that needs to be told...just maybe not to children! A great construction of tension with a twist!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: The Unkissed

On finishing this piece I had to take a moment to consider it, that's how much of an impact it had. The idea of how important your first kiss and love is, that is someting Matthew explores in a beautiful and sad way in this piece. It would be very easy for Zachary to give in to Laurie but the way he stands up for himself not wanting a 'for the wrong reasons' kiss but a proper first kiss, even if it doesn't happen, is wonderfully powerful and for me that's what relationships are, wanting the real thing. Beautifully done.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Moses' Nephew Ted Explains the 10 Commitments: An Autocorrected Monologue

In a world where auto correct can be a nightmarish thing, John Busser has turned it into something wonderfully entertaining. These commitments are a brilliant creation and had me giggling most of the way through. It would make a brilliant addition to any festival or evening of short plays as its sure to have audience laughing out loud! I've read a couple of John's plays using the autocorrect function now and think its a truly fabulous and unique way of writing! My hats off to him!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Garbage City Heroes

A wonderfully fun tale of the power of music. Ky has created a wonderful world for his truly brilliantly expressive and indivudal characters to live in and then he gives them a powerful weapon to overcome their dire straits! Its a fabulous piece and I encourage you all to read it and rock on!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Silly Aliens, Superior Technologies are for Kids

Well when you look at the progression of technology like that its always gonna look bad! Cole has created a wonderful piece full of giggle moments in which two aliens (& Keith) debate whether man kind is ready for the superior technology they posses. The debate is wonderfully constructed and the ending is truly brilliant! Its a great example of comedy that left me with some lovely laugh out loud moments. I'm sure it will for you too!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: The Writing Bug

I would love to read about some of the ideas Gordon discusses in this laugh out loud short play! Evan expertly presents the audience with a certain 'itch' that Gordon has been exposed to that quite a few may recognise! Its a wonderfully funny and imaginatively created scenario that frames in a lovely way how imagination can work. Brilliantly done and won't fail to leave you smiling!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Burnt Toast of Broadway

As someone who is frequently inspired by the positivity in my relationship, I couldn't help but feel for Amanda and Edwards as their ability to create seems to elude them. As the story continues, the two of them draw more people into their complicated life and as I read I found myself leaning forward with curiosity to know how the story would unwind itself. Without giving too much away, Greg expertly unwinds the story with wonderfully witty dialogue exchanged between wonderfully created characters. Its a story creatives will relate to and brilliantly put together.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: WARRIORS

We had the great privilege of reading this play as part of our Sunday night play reading. Its a brilliantly powerful piece that shows the true impact on the mind as a result of war. Both solder and doctor are portrayed as powerful and believable characters. You can't help but feel for Thomas as he talks about the horrors he faced. You follow him on his journey to talk about the horrors he faced. Its a brilliantly written emotionally loaded piece that won't fail to make an audinece feel after they've walked away.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Dueling Judges

We had the great pleasure of reading this play at our Sunday evening play reading and its a wonderfully bizarre but brilliantly funny battle of power. The world of domination and submission are explored in a wonderfully funny and unique way that constantly leave the audience wondering what is coming next. Its a battle of the sexes with fabulous dialogue, loaded with twists and an ending you won't see coming. What more could you want?!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Environmentalist - 10 MINUTE VERSION

Well...that's one way to have a first date. Once again Debra has created a wonderfully unique scenario in which Beth finds herself on a...truly unique first date. I won't say too much for fear of ruining it but it was a pleasure and a privilege to read this piece for our Sunday evening play reading. Like so many of Deb's pieces its got wonderful dialogue framing a brilliantly created scenario. Would make a fab festival piece!
