  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Five-Minute Major

Not being one for sport I was fascinated as Bugsy guides you through the world of an agressive sport, all the while leaving you thinking its not just sport he's talking about. As a character Bugsy is brilliantly constructed to the point where you can see him sat in the box educating the audience on the world he is a part of. 'Five-Minute Major' is a truly unique and interesting piece that is a golden opportunity for a strong actor to play a fabulous role.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: The Unicorn Horn

As a person who loves crime shows and video games, this play was already onto a winner for me. Then Mike provides a fabulous storyline that twists and turns, all the time keeping you guessing but eagerly knowing what will happen next as you get closer and closer to finding out the truth about the murder has taken place. Couple all of that with the fabulous twist on the end and this could make such a brilliant festival piece! It provides so much for an audience to enjoy!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: A Case of the Mondays

The language used and the events Deb has created in this piece made me feel sick to my stomach, in a good way (stay with me). Reading about what Brenda has done and her supposed reasons why presents a snapshot of what is wrong with parts of humanity. The fact that what we see in "A Case of Mondays" could just as easily be a report on the news makes this piece terrifying and haunting to an audience, which is sometimes what is needed in theatre. The piece is brilliantly constructed and won't fail to invoke a response. Brilliantly done.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: The Movie Pit

I ADORE debating about films I've just seen with my partner because you are presented with exactly what Steven has given us here! A snapshot moment that audiences will love to relate to where two people start on a perfectly normal debate about a film and descend into ways they can create better ones. Its seven pages loaded with witty back and forth dialogue all wrapped in a lovely scenario that won't fail to make you smile! A great piece that performers will love to perform and audiences will love to relate to.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: To Love Alone

The act of trying to find that 'perfect' card is always a delicate balancing act, and that is what Andrew has created in this lovely ten minute piece. He has expertly taken two people trying to navigate the expensive complexity of buying a Valentines card and intertwined it with wonderful moments that won't fail to make you smile. An audience will feel privileged to be a part of the moment between these two people.

    Roses are Red
    Violets are Blue
    I loved reading this play
And I bet you will too!

    Sorry, couldn't resist :-D

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: The Isle of Lizzbo: A VERY SHORT Jukebox Musical Based on the Music of Our Queen Mother… Lizzo

Intertwining the wonderful music of Lizzo with a song about female empowerment, gender expectations and discrimination, all wonderfully executed in a lively club setting is truly brilliant! For me I think it could be a perfect performance for younger performers to embrace both those who love to act and sing. A wonderful piece of work!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Helsaga

I love a play that you can see in your minds eye, even when reading it. Ky has taken the beautiful and terrifying world of Norse myth and brought it to life in a wonderful way with a story that, speaking for myself, you'll find yourself wanting to know what's coming next. To see a play like this stage would be a thing of real beauty and sure to leave an impression on its audience!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: He's My Son!

A wonderful display of a generational battle accompanied by a truly amazing twist at the end! Its nothing less than I've come to expect from Debra's work, it makes you think and it entertains, what more could you want?

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: The Revenge of Harvey

The first thing that came to my mind on finishing this somewhat chilling play was "You see, I told you I wasn't crazy". Deb lulls us into a false sense of security where you think it's a tale of gaining freedom but then...Harvey isn't exactly what he seems. This wonderfully written play offers loads of opportunities for a cast to play wonderful characters, Me personally, I'd play the rabbit! A great classical rework.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Poise and Grace

I love a play that informs as well as entertains. In this case Deb does so much more than that. An amazing glimpse into history (and the injustice that goes with it) has been brought to life. I was captivated by the strength of the characters and the power behind what you see here. This piece will fascinate, entertain and make you feel, and all well done in equal measure.
