  • Christopher Plumridge: Sitting at a Red Light in America

You can never stop a mother from worrying, but just how far will they go to protect their child? Especially in a frightening world where school shootings are alarmingly common.
Do we sit back and hide, or fight fire with fire?
    A tough, heartfelt monologue.

  • Christopher Plumridge: A Beautiful Hiding - a monologue

Secrets can hurt, sometimes they are already known, but maybe they are best hidden. Connie knows her husbands secret he's been holding for years.
A BEAUTIFUL HIDING is a perfectly titled, profound monologue, a great piece for an actor to work with.

  • Christopher Plumridge: Promises (RADIO)

PROMISES is a clever one act play, it leads you on in one direction only to throw you off course. Amber wakes up in a hotel room on her wedding day, suffering from the night before. First a kindly maid comes in but makes far too much noise, before an unwelcome guest makes his appearance.
No spoilers here, suffice to say this is a well written, heartfelt play. Written for radio, which would work a treat, but I also believe this has plenty of scope to be a stage play with some great effects.

  • Christopher Plumridge: A Backstage Mystery

A BACKSTAGE MYSTERY is such an accurate portrayal of a drama group behind the scenes, themselves backstage. We recognise the usual characters, some calm, some panicking, some just not here... but they are brilliant, so they are always forgiven. What I love most about this funny, slick play is the amount of gentle swearing these actors blurt out in their holy setting, and the final line had me laughing out loud!
    Great fun!

  • Christopher Plumridge: The Case of Bloody Mary

It takes a brave writer to put Bloody Mary up in court, even if she is responsible for at least four murders! Judge Lucifer proceeds, so you know you're in for a horrific ride in this tense, slick and sometimes darkly funny courtroom drama.
Then a teenage witness takes the stand and the audience will believe this piece will soften.
What follows is a revelation, so read this for yourself to see if Mary walks free.....
    Very stylish!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Mr. Iverson Takes on Bullying

We need more of BLAKE IVERSON, the man is a legend!
This play and its sister play are hilarious! Mr Iverson is such a funny character, in this play he takes on the school bully and his tactics are absurd but fantastic.
    More please!

  • Christopher Plumridge: The Moonchild

THE MOONCHILD is so sweet, so poetic, so atmospheric and simply beautiful!
John and Kathy share their first moments of love, when and where better than late at night overlooking the Seine.
    A gorgeous short play!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Mr. Iverson

Haha! What a revelation Mr Iverson is! If only he worked at my school all those years ago we would have had a hoot!
This is one fun short play with a wonderful character.
I see this as the beginning of a Mr Iverson series, each episode he helps another student through a difficult time, in his own fabulous way!

  • Christopher Plumridge: A THIRD SEX

If ever there was a vodka fueled conversation between two ladies, this is the one! A fun two hander where these women discuss sex, or the lack of it, so they begin to ponder the scenario of a third sex.
Great fun and perfect references to the legend that was David Bowie!

  • Christopher Plumridge: All the Way Down

Lindsay has a talent for creating new worlds in just a few words that take you on unique adventures. Here, Billy and Nora are climbing two rope ladders, but why, where from, and where are they trying to get up to?
This would make a great performance piece, especially if the set allows for two such ladders to be used.
This will leave the audience hanging for sure!
