  • Christopher Plumridge: The Bench

Simple and stunning, so much said in one short monologue. This is a beautiful notion, to think that love lost can still remain in some form, in this case in a bench where lovers meet.
Thank you for writing this Brenton.

  • Christopher Plumridge: To the Boy Who Didn't Love Me After All (a monologue)

This is a very deep and personal monologue, one which struck a chord in my heart. For although I am a man, I've felt this very feeling, long ago now and healed, but the memory lives on like a scar. I do feel that if this playwright wrote 'TO THE GIRL WHO DIDN'T LOVE ME AFTER ALL' it would be as if she tapped into my mind, clever writing!
Lindsay has such a power to portray deep emotions, and this monologue is another fine example.
    Excellent!

  • Christopher Plumridge: When in Rome

Hahaha!! Monty Python meets Up Pompeii by the expert hand of Mr Norkin!
I was fully expecting a walk on part for Franky Howard, such is the brilliant humour, double entendre names and a smattering of dad jokes.
    More Norkinus, more!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Umbrella

What if we all work to rule? But as said, aren't rules there to be broken? Well, these three cops sure don't want to break any rules, at any cost.... more than their jobs worth. This would be a fun and unique play to stage, along with the technical challenge of the umbrella teetering high above them in the wind. Great fun!

  • Christopher Plumridge: A Monogamy of Swans

I recently heard an excellent production of this play by Gather by the Ghost Light.
This is a sweet, tender play, where the relationship between the two characters is reflected in the love and partnership of the two female swans (a beautiful, real story in itself). The connection here is inspired, another great play by Minigan.
Oh...and no swans were injured in the making of this play, thankfully!

  • Claudia's UNITED PLAYS OF AMERICA are a fun and varied snapshot of each state.
Here, in Idaho, two people are hiking, but it soon turns out one could be in a dire situation... or maybe not!?

  • Christopher Plumridge: Moose Lips - Part of the "United Plays of America" Anthology (Alaska)

I will never look at a moose the same way again... this short play is great fun with some surprises packed in.
    Moose mystique indeed!

  • Christopher Plumridge: FUKT

FUKT is an incredible piece of performance theatre, worthy of its success so far, and surely more to follow.
Emma presents three versions of her protagonist, along with cameos from more, in a compelling, funny, emotional play with a desperately sad story at its heart. Audiences will be engrossed as I was reading this play, for the pace is quick and slick.
I really do hope I can be lucky enough to see this staged.
    SUPERB!

  • Christopher Plumridge: The Island Timeshare of Dr. Moreau

You can't go wrong with a Busser comedy.... honestly you can't, every one I've read is hilarious.
This is one time share you don't want to get double booked on, but poor Dr Moreau gets a particularly awkward family gatecrashing his hard work.
    Great fun, as always!!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Monsters of the American Cinema

It's difficult to ignore a play which has had, in its short life, already so many productions. Christian has bought us a deep, sensitive and at times funny play, which cleverly mixes monologues and dialogue to find fresh ways for these well thought out characters to tell their stories and their relationship with each other.
I'd love to see this staged, if, I mean when, it comes to the UK, I'm sure to be there!
