  • Christopher Plumridge: The Weight, a Monologue

We all cope with grief in different ways, we try and be prepared for it in order to cope with the loss and emptiness. Here, in just one page, Molly brings us such a weight of grief it's barely possible to stand, such is the tradegy for what her protagonist grieves.
A hard hitting monologue which would be an excellent challenge for any actor. Very good!

  • Christopher Plumridge: The Fight for Purity, A Radio Play

Now, why has no-one ever written a wold west radio play before, along with a narrator who is in it but isn't. I smiled all through reading this, no doubt my smile was as broad as the handy man's on his last 'job', lucky fella! This is such a fun and unique play, if I had two pistols I'd be firing them in the sky calling our "yeehaw!" Love it!

  • Christopher Plumridge: TAP. TAP. TAP.

Tap Tap Tap, 3 repeated sounds bring so much tension to this gripping short play. The tension builds, the fear grows, the night darkens. The the reveal is a clever and somewhat unexpected twist. Love this!

  • Christopher Plumridge: WHAT KIND OF A GOD 1-minute play

Ooooh! So much passion and wanting in just one brief scene! Affairs are just so, immoral, unfair, yet desperate and yearning. It is clever the way this short play is constructed, in how they speak outwards and not to each other - yet the words are given to each other. Perfect passion!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Miranda's Monologue from TOUCH THE MOON (full length version)

In the warm glow of alcohol, Miranda relishes her freedom on this island, away from the vanilla of home. She wants to be seen for who she really is, for the person she wants to be. A perfect final line sums this up. Another great monologue from a full length play which yearns to be read and produced.

  • Christopher Plumridge: Emily's Monologue from TOUCH THE MOON (full-length version)

In just one page, we see Emily's guilt, it's eating her up. She tense, lost, confused, and guilt ridden, so much so you want to hold her in your arms and tell her it wasn't her fault. An excellent monologue for a young actor to challenge themselves.

  • Christopher Plumridge: Under the Rainbow

Oh poor Corey, his big sister is running away from home and he just can't accept it. This is a slick play, the tension is just perfect as is the relationship between these two siblings. It's beautifully written and somehow I'm sure Corey will join his big sister in her bright new future under the rainbow, when the time is right. A lovely two hander.

  • Christopher Plumridge: Voyage To Nowhere

VOYAGE TO NOWHERE is such a tense, gripping and clever two hander. Right from the off the tension builds, you wonder if Sienna is in danger from her guest and friend. Then the reveal takes you by surprise. Very good!
