  • Christopher Plumridge: The Runner

So much tension in just three pages! Is it a dream? Is it reality? Is it both? And just who was, is, that figure on the park bench?
This would make a great audition piece as there is so much tense emotion here to play with. Brilliant!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Urashima Taro

Oh my word, this is such an incredible story, one drawn from Japanese folklore, and Morey has delivered this sensitivity and respectfully. I would very much like to see this staged, and i would love to hear of more similar tales from the land of the rising sun.
    Excellent!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Katharine Hepburn Lived Here

What a wonderful notion this is, how we would all like to hire an apartment once owned by someone as glamorous and beautiful as Katherine Hepburn?! Let alone have her come back as a ghost and offer such brilliant and inspiring advice in her trademark way! Karen herself has done a great job herself in bringing back the spirit of said Ms Hepburn in this short play. I love it!
Personally I'd like to bring back Audrey and meet for breakfast somewhere.....

  • Christopher Plumridge: Pepper Pirates for Life!

This is such a fun, sweet, no spicy play! Three young ladies out to 'out hot' the boys when they take on the hottest pepper going and their action unleashes a ghost! No more spoilers here, read this fun short for yourself, better still, stage it!

  • Christopher Plumridge: There Will Be Bears

What starts as a fun play about an adventure in a park frequented by bears, along with a YouTube park warden, suddenly takes a bizarre and hilarious twist. These two ladies are no smarter than the average bear, as I do believe throwing children at said bears is not the best advice!
I love this fun and whacky play, I'd love to see it staged, mainly for the dance sequence. Love it!!

  • Christopher Plumridge: A Man's Family

Some people can be so far brainwashed that the ability to see right from wrong becomes somewhat blurred. BECK brings us a scarily realistic tale of a cult, where the leader has, quite unintentionally, persuaded his following to do a despicable and devasting deed in his name. Even the son of God at his side is powerless to help.
    An excellent short play!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Baby Blue

Two people from different backgrounds, both in heartache for different reasons, come together in this heartwarming short. Maybe they fall for each other rather quickly, but hey, that really can, and does happen! I can just imagine this new couple decorating their walls, and their futures, together. Nice.

  • Christopher Plumridge: Goalkeeper: A Monologue

The pain this goalkeeper feels, physically and mentally is palpable. Any football player (I'm British, it's not Soccer here!) wants to be at the top of their game, and true, you rarely see keepers badly injured. I hope his team mates win the cup for Harper!
And as an Englishman, credit to you Cole for bring us an excellent football monologue!

  • Christopher Plumridge: I Survived Being Haunted at my High School Auditorium: Age 16

In just two pages of dialogue, Cole gives us a genuinely chilling scenario, which would be a great challenge to produce on a bare stage.
Maybe he's alone, maybe he has company... but what I enjoyed most was the protagonists attitude to it all! Great!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Henry's TED Talk (10 Minutes)

Wow! Oh my! What starts as a fast paced, totally relatable, funny even, moment of terror in the wings, takes a drastic turn towards the end! Henry is stranded on the stage, a writer, not a public speaker, no way near ready to deliver his speech as the 10 minute call goes by in a flash. His wife Ava comes along just in time to support him. But it's what happens next that will really surprise you. Reading this I'm left with goosebumps and an emotion I can't quite label, audiences will no doubt feel the same. An EXCELLENT play!
