Next time I go to a garden centre I really will think twice about where I walk! This is a fun, dark, sinister play where plants get their revenge on 'influencers'. It's a sad sign of the times that these two captives were more concerned about their phones than their lives...!

Oh the tension in this short play is incredible, audiences will really be leaning forwards, eager to see the outcome. Clearly Lilia needs help, but is Jaden all she seems. Read this to find out for yourself. I think this could be filmed to be used by women's support charities.
Also the lyrics of Suzanne Vega's song 'Luca' come to mind.
A powerful short piece indeed.

What a wonderfully fun way to open a series of short plays, maybe a festival!
I love how 'Woman' addresses the audience directly right from the word go, tearing apart the fourth wall with her opening words. Then 'Man' comes along, stiff upper lipped actor fellow and he's disgusted, but she has already won over the audience.
I would love to see this staged, as I say it would be a terrific opener!

BRILLIANT! Firstly, I am man. I wait impatiently for her to be ready when the taxi is due in 5 minutes. I've been there a lot, teeth gritting. Secondly, this play is spot on and will be relatable to so many women, and men alike. Molly has pretty much shaken everything out of her closet in order to find something non 'Pedestric' to wear and her room is a total mess. Then the twist took me so much by surprise that I burst out laughing!
Molly is a wonderful part for an actor to have fun with. I love this!

In an ever changing world, surely it's better to try to keep up than to dig your heels into the earth of the past?
Marcia has come across some stiff opposition in her new placement. Will she be able to embrace the new, to her anyway, use of many pronouns that children are entitled to use as well as adults. I hope they do for their own sake.
A great short piece which cuts to the point.

This has to be Rachels funniest play to date, and credit to the author for creating this in just one day! British politics is often said to be rife with this sort of behavior, that maybe it is actually expected! The action is swift, the farce is farcical and there are some wonderful one liners to get the actors mouth around, pun intended! Brilliant!

There is so much addressed in this short play that it makes it difficult to sum up. Suffice to say Elle has taken the statue of Venus and make them wonderfully trans femme and a wonderful character. Poor Milo is faced with so many questions he must answer, mainly "where are my arms?" while Venus wants to get out there and see the world.
A lovely two hander! (no pun intended!)

Ooooh I do love it when the tables are turned! This is a clever two hander full of double crosses, twists, and tension. A classic thriller indeed!

Oh, what a tricky situation on a film set in Hollywood, with former A list actor couple, going through a difficult split, are faced with a sex scene. Then, the intimacy director arrives with quite a shocking device to control proceedings.
This is a fun comedy, yes, but Dan has sprinkled in a perfect amount of realism and love, (for love remains) to make this a beautiful short play. Love it!

This speech by a teacher is perfectly to the point, they remind the children that adults, their parents included, are insecure, scared, especially in difficult times, and this makes them do strange things. Maybe if we teach children this, they will grow up more secure and be able to cope when bad times come and pass.
