  • Christopher Plumridge: Juxtaposition

Oh, the pitfalls of social media, especially in the wrong hands. Scott, on a first date, of which he has made a big effort and spent a fortune, finds this out in the worst way, but deals with it, with Brie, in the best way. Clever twists make this a great short play with a lot to say.

  • Christopher Plumridge: TIME WOUNDS ALL HEELS

TIME WOUNDS ALL HEELS is a tense two hander, where the author takes us on a dark path, one reveal at a time. Any audience lucky enough to see this staged, will slowly edge to the front of their seats as Glenn draws them in with his sharp script, until the clever twist near the end, which caught this reader by surprise. Interspersed with John Lennon lyrics, this is an excellent short play!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Tracks

TRACKS is a disturbing yet brilliant short play. Drawn along a seemingly familiar track, the audience will think they know where this train is heading, but the final twist really is a twist of a knife in the heart. With the added peril of an unseen child in imminent danger, the ending is made all the more disturbing. An excellent play!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Loved

There is a saying, 'There are three sides to the story, yours, mine and the truth.'
In this clever play by John, he uses three monologues from his three characters to tell this tragic tale. The first two are desperate enough, the effect the events have on them are profound as anyone would expect. But the final twist is a punch in the gut. It's an excellent original short play!

  • Christopher Plumridge: The Legend Of Snails

Oh my, the setting is romantic enough, let alone the sweet story which is played out in it! The budding relationship between these two young women is gentle, subtle and as romantic as the streets and canals they roam during their tours of Amsterdam. Something tells me their future is as bright as the jewels in the citys diamond museum. A lovely play!

  • Christopher Plumridge: The Known Universe (Part Three of The Second World Trilogy)

Where does one start on recommending a play of this magnitude? Firstly I was happy to be back in the company of Teddy and Anzor, I could watch their entire lives on stage. Then the reality kicked in, I chose the word reality for if mankind is not careful this could well become a reality.
Scott tackles an incredibly difficult scene with humour, tact, love, regret and so much more.
This is a stunning, desperately sad ending to an amazing trilogy which should be read by all, staged, and watched by all. I will be on the front row.

  • Christopher Plumridge: The New Baby

Awww, this play is lovely! I am a fan of dialogue free plays, there is so much that can be told without words, this play by Bruce proves this perfectly. New parents bring home their new born and face much the same as most other couples experience, but here the author shows their first few days in a sweet, loving and gentle way. Also, having the couples dreams displayed on a screen above them is a fun way to show their real thoughts. Nice!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Hell Job

Haha! Some job interviews can be hell, some not so. But this is one strange interview, strange because it's very realistic in itself, but for a very unusual job. I hope Hope gets this hell of a job and doesn't just have to put up with being an angel... for eternity? Great!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Bagged

Ha! I am a dog owner too, who has received a similar backlash!
Maybe next time I, will take Jacquelyn's advice and treat my complainer in much the same way! Great, quick fun!

  • Christopher Plumridge: The Gift

Listening into this conversation between two good friends, on the balcony overlooking the sea, a bottle of wine....I could sit all night, hey I'll bring a bottle too! When neighbours discriminate, not always directly, it still becomes a difficult situation and you can't blame her for wanting to move away. Then the twist, and what a great twist.
I have a bottle, pass me a glass, can we sit and chat some more?
    I love this!
