  • Brenton Kniess: The Eighteenth Quinquennial Endlings Picnic

This play is so fun yet so sad at the same time. Jillian Blevins does a phenomenal job with the world building and providing these delightful characters and fulfilling journey that will stick with you. So much to work with for designers, director, and actors. Would really love to see this staged!

  • Brenton Kniess: Peas in the Fried Rice

Larry Rinkel whips up a fast paced comedy that will leave you wanting seconds! As someone who loves fast paced comedy, I really enjoyed what Rinkel builds around these characters in their seemingly traditional day. When can I direct this? If you’re hungry for a ten minute comedy, what are you waiting for, dig in!

I really enjoy the approach Floyd-Priskorn uses here. A really nice set up that is held up beautifully by this well crafted relationship. This is a great comedy that has great potential for both stage and screen. Lots to relish with this charmingly relatable comedy!

Philip Middleton Williams crafts a clever farce that holds an unsuspecting amount of weight once you’re in on what’s happening. Great dialogue that is expertly layered allowing for a play that will stay with you.

  • Brenton Kniess: Hearts and Crosses

James Perry writes a lovely adaption here. Perry utilizes the setting very well which adds to O. Henry's original short story. Great atmosphere, wonderful execution of characters, and an overall excellent adaption.

  • Brenton Kniess: Such a Waste

Poor Brad learns that he's finally not all that. Rachel Feeny-Willaims' comedy, SUCH A WASTE will not be a waste of your time in the theater! It's a great college comedy that has a lot of humor and some really nice dialogue between Brad and Jennifer. A nice twist at the end that just adds to Brad's ego being hurt. This play is pure witty fun!

As someone who is not a fan of Hallmark movies, this play certainly brought me a ton of laughs! Joe Swenson's JUST LIKE IN THE MOVIES is a wonderful farce that has so much potential for comedic actors looking for something that will have the audience in the palm of their hands. This truly is a great addition to any night of comedies! Lots of fun to be had with this play!

  • Brenton Kniess: This Grass Kills People

Daniel Prillaman's THIS GRASS KILLS PEOPLE starts off with some light comedy, but then it builds up in a tension-filled drama that makes your heart beat out of your chest. That's the magic that Prillaman creates in this short horror. These are great characters who play off of each other very well. The dialogue is very fluid and offers some great moments for actors to relish these roles. Lots of potential for design elements and for a director to develop something very powerful.
