  • Lou Jones: The Reckoning Room

The Reckoning Room is a great original idea for a thriller. The clock counting down adds to the tension well. I'd love to see this developed into a full length stage play or film.

  • Lou Jones: To Sprawl or Not To Sprawl

I loved this. I wanted to keep reading because at first I thought it was about sprawling (which I was visualising beautifully and comically done on stage), but then realised it was about the couple's power dynamics, but then it was about a cat, then of course it was about love. Lovely.

  • Lou Jones: THE NEW COLOSSUS a short play written for FACING FORWARD, Prompt 20 - a picture of a huge cat with a small statue of Liberty

Oh, I just love reading two stories at once all within 2 minutes. This is a thought provoking political story hiding behind a funny farcical one. Well done.

  • Lou Jones: The Fall of Liberty - Tabby Wrecks Everything (A One-Minute Play)

This is funny. I'd like to see this on stage too but then it would be "six months of painstaking labor" for the set designer. (You'll get the joke if you read the play). A lovely lighthearted read.

  • Lou Jones: Band-Aids

This seems like a simple answer to a question (but we have to wait for the end to know the question) but its a very touching monologue looking back and comparing different mothering styles. Her admission is in fact heartbreaking. All of this in a short monologue. Well done

  • Lou Jones: ASH IN THE WIND

This has some great imagery for a film noir setting. Rain, whiskey, a ticking wall clock and a fantastic narration. However Debra has flipped the genre to make it a woman's world. Wonderful

Lostened to this as an audio play on Theatrical Shenanigans. Good one. Just knew it wasn't going to go well. Nice ending. Well done Bob LeBlanc.

  • Lou Jones: armchAIr critic

Loved listening to the critics review. Everything we playwrights dread hearing! Well done Deb Cole.

  • Lou Jones: TREE HUGGER (MONOLOGUE)

A very nice monologue with an unusual touch of being spoken to a tree. This covers the passing of the seasons, aging and the importance of being in nature when you're a nature lover. Nice.
