  • Lou Jones: A Just B Cuz Rockumockumentary: OPPOSITES ATTRACT – THE AFTERMATH

Hilarious. How does Brent Alles think of this? "Straight up now tell me?"

  • Lou Jones: MY TURN - A TWO MINUTE MONOLOGUE

This is a moving piece which made me sway between a dystopian future or a real past time but with an ever present human story of taking a step into the unknown and leaving behind loved ones.

  • Lou Jones: Eve and Adam; Abel and Cain

I was lucky to play the role of Cain in a virtual reading of this play. It had a biblical setting but for me the story was a timeless family drama. I was invested quite quickly wanting to know what would happen next. On top of that, the experimental writing style was interesting and well done.

  • Lou Jones: Persona

I highly recommend Persona. I feel many people will relate to wearing many hats and being the person you're expected to be depending on the situation. CK Brestman takes it further with being the person they needed to be to survive the various life situations growing up. Behind this monologue we also see a very touching story. Just lovely.

  • Lou Jones: Seance

I really liked this little play. Comical but also touching and of course supernatural. Great for a spooky shorts festival.

Loved this interesting, original play. Two very different conversations in the same place, hundreds of years apart but there's a family connection. I also like that it was inspired by a real plaque in that Irish field. It kept me hooked to the end to find if both brave attempts were successful. Well done Christopher Plumridge.

  • Lou Jones: Last

So much in a 1 minute play. A bit of intrigue, beautiful poetry, and humour. As it was written during covid, it is also poignant. Thank you Anna Langman.

  • Lou Jones: little moons

This is a little gem. A conversation between 2 people about natural connections whilst they naturally connect. A beautifully written little story to escape into. Thank you Emily Haver.

  • Lou Jones: WATCH YOUR PRONOUNS - one-act, grandfathers with young LGBTQ family members shares their inner turmoil.

This is a lovely play. A simple everyday conversation between two old friends trying to make sense of their losses. They are also trying to navigate the modern world and their conversation helps us see things from different perspectives. I'd love to see this on stage at a shorts festival.

  • Lou Jones: trauma dumping

This dark comedy intrigued me with its title and the concept of the Player who comes on and off stage in many different roles. I was swept along by the fast paced absurdism and many changes of time and place. When the Player spoke directly to the audience I was relieved to find out that our collective confusion was all part of the journey. All of this was going on whilst telling a compelling story. A good choice if you want a play with multiple characters with a cast of just three .
