  • Lou Jones: Freiheit

I recommend Freiheit by Alaina Tennant because, despite the topic being uncomfortable to read, it kept me hooked, always wanting to know how things would turn out for Alex, Hans and Sophie. Being a multilingual writer myself I also like the way the German language has been used in places for authenticity.

  • Lou Jones: A Savanna Story

I chose to read this play because of the use of 2 languages and the African setting. I really recommend it though for the simple human story, a short conversation between 2 very different people in a tense setting under painful circumstances. Lovely.

  • Lou Jones: A True Ghost Story

Loved this little ghost story. I was hooked from beginning to end and the narration gives it something extra..

  • Lou Jones: The Peculiar Puppets of Philip Platt

I finally got round to the Peculiar Puppets. I really enjoyed this play and found it very original as I've never heard a similar story before. Normally I read the scripts but this time I made the most of the video attached so I could sit back and watch the show. Thank you Brenton.

  • Lou Jones: Bluebonnets

This has been on my reading list for some time and I'm glad I read it today. A heartwarming story of a relationship between a daughter and her Dad. A very sweet, touching play.

  • Lou Jones: Right as Rain

A very sweet play. It was a calm, normal conversation between 2 friends, but the sad twist gave me goosebumps. Lovely.

  • Lou Jones: DONNY OSMOND TURNED ME GAY

I loved this monologue and although I'm a straight woman, not a gay man, I can completely relate to this story. Yes, I too had the same magazine, the same posters and yes I kissed Donny Osmond on my bedroom wall. This brought back some wonderful memories. Thank you.

  • Lou Jones: She Sells Seashells

This was a lovely poignant short play. Often scenes like this are portrayed as humorous or showing frustration but this was so honestly and sensitively written. Lovely.

  • Lou Jones: Joey Age 5

I read the blurb, so i knew what i was going to read but it still made me really uncomfortable. Very well written first part of a terrifying ordeal showing how an adult can manipulate a child. I will have to read the other parts now to see what happens.

  • Lou Jones: Spooky U Chronicles: Disorientation

I decided to start reading the Spooky U Chronicles by Christopher Soucy and of course started with the 'dis'orientation. Such a creepy and terrifying intro. Looking forward to reading more...when its not bedtime!
