  • Lou Jones: Pickles

A nice little play with interesting dialogue building a relationship between the 2 characters. I want a part two to know what happens on their next shift together.

  • Lou Jones: Neighborly

Being a psychological thriller, this is an unnerving, uncomfortable read. I loved to see how quickly the situation went downhill and also loved the clever, philosophical dialogue.

  • Lou Jones: A Declaration of Independence (15 minutes)

Haha, everyone's a guru these days. A nice easy but also touching read. Thank you.

  • Lou Jones: Turn Around Where Possible ( A Sat-Nav Dilemma)

Haha. We all know how frustrating satnavs are and have heard "recalculating" when things go wrong, but this one has had an upgrade! Nice one.

  • Lou Jones: There Goes Daisy, Whom I Love

I've just read There Goes Daisy and although my head is scrambled and I'll be processing it for a while, I definitely recommend this moving play. Michael Fanelli manages to mix absurd slapstick farce with disturbing tragic comedy on the topic of abuse in show business. I find it a very emotional play that will certainly provoke debate.

  • Lou Jones: Mick and Ernie go to Therapy

As a Brit, I have to recommend this for anyone who likes London slang, a lot of London slang. In fact his play is a hilarious (if you understand the slang) huge overdose of London slang mixed with a fair dose of British bad language. I laughed all the way through, until it got a bit dark for a moment, then I laughed again. Loved the name confusion and the line "I'm having a crap b*llocks week". Would be very interested to see if non Brits get the humour too.

  • Lou Jones: Made by Thumb

Laughed all the way through this. From the characters' names like TORQUIL MacNoblechin, and his escape plan said in one painfully long sentence of 7 lines, to Nonetta refusing to get on with the play until she's had her coffee. Well done Mr Sickles!

  • Lou Jones: Grandma's Rules

Aw, a sweet 1 minute play with a lot of wisdom and a sharp dose of realism. I really like this little play.

  • Lou Jones: Hello?

I love ghost stories and this one would be a great addition to a spooky evening of short ghost story plays.

  • Lou Jones: A Night on the Bridge

Got caught up in this one, then read it again and went even deeper into the poetry. Beautifully dreamlike, whilst being full of realism too. Highly recommend it.
