  • James Binz: Bitch Slut Whore

Good strong confrontation and conversation. The expected twists and turns are here. Well written and nicely paced dialogue. this feels like a short scene in a much larger piece. Very Good start

  • James Binz: 10 Seconds Left on New Year's Eve: A Monologue

If you can experience this without going Awww at the end, you need help. Cole Hunter Dzubak has captured the experience of an ex who lost the most syndrome and pushed the sharp end of it into the audience's heart. Poor Ryan. Nicely done.

  • James Binz: 1 Minute Stories

The challenge of that one minute play - make something happen that is exciting and visual and active and theatrical and wonderful. No small task! Christopher Soucy shows us the way - a master class in this very challenging form. Brava!

  • James Binz: Fan C Cuts

Nicely done as usual! It seems so easy to use stock Princess characters with their accompanying Prince and/or King accessory - it's more difficult to use the character we all know and love and add the nuance we all wondered about. Great laughs here and a sweet little twist in the end. But, poor Sheldon!

  • James Binz: The Sentence - 10 Minute Play

Excellent ten minute piece. There's a very nice juxtaposition between the wife and husband and a nice denouement with the young man. A strong story line and the dialogue is true. This would be a good piece for any short play festival. Reminded me of Eric S. Mansfield's Witness to the Execution. Thanks for letting us read this.

  • James Binz: You Think You Know

But, how did they get into the house? And who is the naked woman in the photo? and why would they think a picture of a young boy is Katherine? I've read a lot of Rachel Feeny-Williams and the answers are either plainly there - or not there on purpose. Grrrrr. I'd make a heck of a detective.

  • James Binz: Bad in Bed (A Fairy Tale)

A semi-sweet morsel of a romantic comedy. Karen Saari has structured the story with a good pace, nice twists and turns, a ritual that amazes and a finale denouement that ties it all together. Hilarious moments throughout and well written. Nicely done.

  • James Binz: Black Balloons

It's creepy all right. This is a fun piece for a group to perform - the story is straightforward and well done. The characters are unique and the pacing is just right. Barry Wallace has created a strong ten minutes slice of , well, maybe not life, but theater. Well done!

  • James Binz: Love's Bright Wings

Even without the pandemic, there are lonely frightened people who reach out for connection. Often inappropriate, but making due with what is available. An unexpected request of the typical cam worker fulfilled in the most astonishing way. The short melodramatic piece highlights a fragile humanity and shows the power of theatricality in real life. Nicely written and conceived by Lissa Brennan. Brava

  • James Binz: TAKE MY WIFE!

Very unique short piece! A wonderful parody of those game shows from the 60s and 70s - mixed in with a fascination with a classic truck to create a truly one of a kind story. Loved the characters - they would all be a blast to perform, loved the set concept - unique and wild, loved the ending - unexpected and realistic. This would be hilarious to see on stage. Well done.
