  • James Binz: My Preferred Pronouns Are Miss and Empress

Well written monologue! This is a nice juicy work for a middle aged actress to sink into. The dialogue is sharp and flows well. The story line is a tale for our times. This monologue works on many levels and tells a tale of deeper significance. Lucy Wang can write up a storm! 10/11/2024

  • James Binz: Nick and Georgia Visit a Sex Club

Nice piece of life exploration. The characters are true to life and show some flaws to make this realistic and entertaining. I loved the story line and where it went. James Perry shows us a not so seamy underside of the sex club, er sensual oasis. The conversations in the later part are fine articulations of relationship exploration. The staging is easy and works well. Good stuff! 10/11/2024

  • James Binz: We've All Asked

HA HA! Old jokes never really die. Another one minute triumph. Brava (10/5/2024)

  • James Binz: RAVINE (a 5-minute radio drama)

A perfect play for radio. Awesome story and excellent characters. This would be a challenge for actors, but the pay off is truly worth the effort. Very nice!

  • James Binz: The Early Flight

The Early Flight movie trope is such a wonderful idea for a story. The characters are steady and we know them so well! I was almost convinced that the ending would be different this time - got me! I loved how Evan thought that just by coming home early - he would catch Megan in the affair and get the life he so badly wants. Both endings are a treat and either one would work. Evan is a great role for any actor. (10/5/2024)

  • James Binz: JOY RIDE, a 10-minute comedic fantasy for two women

This is a terrific short piece! Great characters, strong dialogue and a nice little story to tell with vast implications beyond what we see. Arianna Rose solves the problem of flight and the challenge of historical characters in a modern place with ease and naturalness. This would be a nice piece to see on stage! (10/5/2024)

  • James Binz: CREAK

The true challenge of the one minute play is that it seems almost impossible to create a story with a beginning, middle and end and have character development and a motivated protagonist and a reveal and a big dramatic moment and maintain good voice distinction and amazing dialogue and so on and so on. Kudos to Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn for showing us all how it is done! (10/5/2024)

  • James Binz: Every Other Inch a Liar

Certainly the vanilla life can be dangerous and, if you can find the other kind, it is hard to resist. Jason Grant has given us a tight story with wonderful characters and a nice flip to the script. Easy to stage and a joy to watch. Well done!

  • James Binz: Junior Moment

One minute comedy is tricky for sure. Great premise and strong characters. The dialogue is lifelike and the voices are right on. This would be a good start to a longer piece.

  • James Binz: Wicked Creatures

Nice Victorian gothic piece. The characters are interesting and the story is unique. Great acting opportunities for actresses with some grit. Scientific experimentation in the Victorian age was rife with this kind of desperation. A challenging slice of life from a bygone era. Emma Carter amazes again with a truly one of a kind story. Brava!
