  • Chelsea Frandsen: Spark

Spark is a beautiful, charming and fantastically challenging tale for both actors and creative teams. The cast is brimming with well rounded male and female characters(yay for strong females!!!!). Vansant explores the triumphs and trials of teen life through the eyes of a feisty little dragon that I fell in love with. This gem should be produced, and produced often!

  • Chelsea Frandsen: Branwell (and the other Brontes): an autobiography edited by Charlotte Bronte

The Brontes have always fascinated me and this heart-wrenching look at the siblings is fantastic! It's moving and bittersweet with strong historical male and female characters any theatre artist would love portraying. Perfect for high school and college seasons, I'd love to see this on it's feet. Thank you Kaplan for taking me on this amazing journey!

  • Chelsea Frandsen: Canterbury Sextet

What do you do when you're stuck in JFK with five other complete strangers? You could act out stories. But whose stories could you act out? How about Chaucer! And they do! and it's hysterical and charming. Rinkel has adapted these medieval tales into contemporary language and settings without compromising the original rhyme scheme. Love this play.

  • Chelsea Frandsen: Light Switch

This. Play. Is. So. Beautiful! Osmundsen has a gift for creating empathetic and engaging characters that I really root for, especially Henry. I fell in love with him--I fell fast and I fell hard. His journey is hopeful, heartbreaking and FAN-TAS-TIC!!!! We need to see more stories like this on the stage, and I can't recommend this one highly enough.

  • Chelsea Frandsen: PETER CRATCHIT, ESQ.

What a fantastic continuation of the beloved Dickens original--a look at Peter Cratchit and the man he became, and a heartwarming examination of how one single person can touch so many and the power of love. Lockhart's script had me both grinning like a loon and tearing up. This play would be a wonderful addition to any theatre's season and should become--like it's predecessor--a Christmas tradition!

  • Chelsea Frandsen: Facsimile

Pulled me in from page one and wouldn't let me go until the last page. Kulak knows how to spin a story and add twists at just the right time and in the right way. The payoff was one of my favorite bits--my jaw hit the floor. I would love to see this staged.

  • Chelsea Frandsen: Celtic Knot

What a beautiful and emotional tale! The characters are human and fascinating and the dialogue is lyrical from page one. It touched my heart and warmed my soul.

  • Chelsea Frandsen: American Divide

Maximillian Gill has created four multi-dimensional, very human characters caught in a world that doesn't feel that far off from the world we are experiencing right now. "American Divide" is a hard-hitting, gritty roller-coaster that had me thinking about where I would stand if this actually came to pass. This is a play I would love to see staged.

  • Chelsea Frandsen: #whiteprivilege

An in-your-face coming of age story that looks at the culture that we currently live in, and the pitfalls of privilege and racism that still exist. Josh's journey is one that everyone should take.

  • Chelsea Frandsen: The Mortal Drama

This play hit me right in the gut. A brutal, realistic and compelling portrait of abuse and excuses that artists make to create through destructive means. Gacinski has a talent for building tension very naturally into the heart-breaking yet inevitable climax.
