  • Chelsea Frandsen: The Conversos of Venice

I am a long-time fan of "Merchant of Venice" and Ian Thal's spiritual sequel does not disappoint. Powerful and juicy roles for both men and women, beautiful poetic dialogue and a very tight and clear plot make this play a winner!

  • Chelsea Frandsen: Fire Season

Wow. Squire's "Fire Season" is a play that hit me right in the gut. The opioid epidemic is still rampant in contemporary society and clearly a subject which Squire is passionate about. It made me cry and it made me think and the immediacy of Eli's death and it's effect on the community is powerful and beautiful and heartbreaking. "Fire Season" should be seen on stage a soon as possible. Well done!

  • Chelsea Frandsen: Bleed Rail

This is one of the most visceral plays I've read in a while. The dialogue is taut and sometimes darkly comic. The characters are raw, real, messy and beautiful people that any actor would enjoy diving into. The story ripped my heart out but then managed to put the pieces back together and stayed with me long after I hit the end. Produce this show! A lot!

  • Chelsea Frandsen: Shiver and Shake

On my lists of favorite fairy tales. Jack and Adelina are fantastic and the three spirits add to the story's charm. Young audiences will eat this up!

  • Chelsea Frandsen: Goldilocks Gets Adopted

A delightful sequel to "The 3 Bears" that's just as adorable as the original. A must have for any TYA repertoire!

  • Chelsea Frandsen: Top Shelf Tolstoy

I will never get tired of reading Maximillian Gill's work. Turning a library into a bar? Why not? This one is full of dry, witty humor and is equally thought provoking.

  • Chelsea Frandsen: Thor's Hammer / Magic Number

This was a fun little piece. I've thought about taking an ex's dog, but that fact that these two actually do it? Priceless!

  • Chelsea Frandsen: The Last Shore Trip

I had the opportunity to tune in to a reading of this amazing piece. The dialogue packs quite a punch and is both poetic and natural. Osmundson knows how to tell a heart-wrenching, beautifully human and brutally honest story of the cost of addiction that stayed with me long after I finished.

  • Chelsea Frandsen: UNEVEN SIDES OF A TRIANGLE (a full-length play)

Beautifully heartwarming and surprisingly relatable, O'Neill-Butler has constructed a very sweet story about the highs and lows of life. The characters are multi-dimensional and human; and I felt for them and all they had been through. This is a play that should be seen on it's feet.

  • Chelsea Frandsen: El Yunque in English

This beautiful and moving one man show is a gem. Infused with both pathos and comedy, Diaz-Marcano takes what could be an utterly devastating situation and infuses it with hope and humor. This is a play that should be seen on it's feet!
