  • Chelsea Frandsen: WORLD CLASSIC

What a marvelous cast of deeply flawed and multi-dimensional characters telling a beautifully nuanced and emotional story about heritage, identity, trauma, family and grief. This is a story everyone can identify with; one that stuck with me long after I finished the last page and is still rattling around in my head. This is a show that should be seen on stage and experienced over and over again! No wonder I love Diaz-Marcano's work so much!

  • Chelsea Frandsen: TETHERED

Love. Love love love this play!!!!! Chelsea Hickman has crafted a beautiful and heart-wrenching tale full of powerhouse roles for women. The dialogue is haunting and gorgeous and the relationship between Sileas and Margaret is a stark and tender contrast to Margaret and her Gossips. This is a play I want to see on it's feet!

  • Chelsea Frandsen: Diante's Hell

Diante's Hell grabs you by the throat from page one a doesn't let you go. It's raw, it's visceral, it's the perfect marriage between Dante and Dickens. Seen onstage, this play would have audiences at the edge of their seats. Reading it--it's a page-turner!

  • Chelsea Frandsen: REVOLT!

Nelson Diaz-Marcano is fast becoming one of may favorite playwrights. This play is so raw, so real, so emotionally driven and and important narrative of a part of history we don't talk about enough; a part of history we should talk about more often. This play needs to be seen, experienced and never forgotten!

A beautiful and poignant look at the relationship between a father and daughter that had me tearing up. Well done Chelsea!

  • Chelsea Frandsen: Unexpected

A delightful, darkly comic fairy tale about love and family full of characters any actor or actress would have a blast bringing to life. The plot is by turns heart-breaking, romantic and laugh-out-loud funny. I'd love to see this on it's feet!

  • Chelsea Frandsen: Black Like Us

Wonderful! Each character is a well-rounded female powerhouse in this play, which is an excellent presentation of a part of history that is not discussed as often as it should be. This is a very necessary work, and a play I would love to see live, and needs to be produced more often.

  • Chelsea Frandsen: Blood Will Out

"You can't do anything about the blood, but you damn well can fight to change your story." This is only one of the powerful pieces of dialogue in this script. The whole plot packs quite a punch and the characters are deliciously three-dimensional!

  • Chelsea Frandsen: Caliban

Fans of the Bard will love this wonderful sequel to "The Tempest". Caliban, Miranda, Prospero and Ariel are presented in a new light. No character is quite what you expect and the plot twists come rapidly at you to draw you further into the plot. I'd love to see this onstage.

So so cute! Franklin is endearing and Denise is someone any girl can relate to--and the twist is so perfect! I love this play!
