CLYT; OR, THE BATHTUB PLAY gives us a much needed prespective on moments surrounding the Trojan War. Elisabeth Giffin Speckman not only gives us Clytemnestra's point of view, but also rich relationships between between sisters (Clytemnestra/Helen and Electra/Iphigenia). With a blended pastiche of settings, ancient and modern, we are introduced to a new way of concieving what it means to be a timeless tale. This play is maintain high tensions as we watch characters march towards unalterable fates. There is also a satisfying blend of physical comedy, word play, and irony peppered throughout this script!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

A fun 1-minute play! Just when you think Kyle's dad is unnecessarily overbearing, you begin to suspect Kyle deserves it.

A great play to start the morning with!

OWL CREEK is so super creepy. IN THE BEST WAY! With small town secrets and the recollection of eerie dreams, this play gets more and more disturbing to the end. It a lot of fun to see Emily McClain's modern takes on classic tropes. There are also some really great moments that speak to the experience of growing up in a small town.

CHILDREN OF COMBS AND WATCH CHAINS is a glorious modern tragedy! Della and Jim Young THINK they will do anything to have a child. But when it comes down to it, the secrets that they keep from one another as they seek more and more extreme ways to get what they want is the biggest strain of all. This play is a fast paced thriller with a heartbreaking twist.

I saw a reading of this play done by the Quarantine Players on Zoom. Hearing actors bring this shorty to life underscored moments of dark humor throughout the piece.

WOLF & PIG is the perfect quarantine play! We get a beautiful twist on a classic tale, full of hope and love. It is a great Matthew Weaver play!

BRAVO!

These two characters have a complicated, nuanced love/hate relationship, and we learn all of that in just one minute. Scott has done a great job of painting a much larger picture in a few short lines of dialogue.

WHEN I SEE YOU, I SMILE is a super dark 1-minute play! So scary and chilling. Made more so by the questions left unanswered. eerie and atmospheric, Elijah Vazquez gives us so much in just one minute.

I saw this as part of the Fast & Furious Festival at Stage Left Theater online, and was totally sucked into it.

Pure Terror!

CIRCUMNAVIGATION gives us a peek into the life of a goldfish. While our protagonist is optimistic, there is a much darker story beneath the surface.

I saw this performed at the Fast & Furious Festival at Stage Left Theater online. It is a great monologue for anyone looking to add a dark comedy to their repertoire.

Delightful!

I was blown away by this short play. 4 survivors are working together to perform a sacred ritual in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. There is loss and sacrifice and then the most beautiful realization as the ritual begins.

I read this play with a group of friends, and was so incredibly moved while reading when the characters launched into a play within a play. After the struggle these characters have overcome to do this thing that they feel is so important, I was overwhelmed to read the familiar words and feel the power they had for these characters.
