  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: An Unquiet Past (Original title: Scar Tissues)

A very satisfying play that starts off with all kinds of micro-aggressions from the passive aggressive husband and ends up with a moment of recognition that, I am very relieved to report, works! Well done! A tough subject to tackle, Triplett works hard to push the action as far as it will go.

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: Take the K Train

A strange little play that keeps you guessing all the way through! I love the discoveries that Winston makes as he tries to make sense of his reality, or is that surreality? Spooky!

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: Mirrors

This beautiful play had me from the start with its language, the sense of a whole world, a community policing queer women, and the character of Bird Wilson whose strength and struggle adds enormous dimension to this drama about a young girl who loses her mother. How we deal with loss is explored in a very moving way.

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: Blades

I saw this produced in NYC. This is a wonderful vehicle for 2 actors. They had a great time with it! This is a very enjoyable way to deal with the difficulties of the haves and the have-nots, and super creative too!

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: Dialogue & Subtext for Breakfast

Very funny and accurately describes all the dialogue and subtext lessons you'll ever need while they are happening - a show-don't-tell extravaganza - that should be up and on its feet immediately. It would be great fun to play the wife who sounds like a real truck driver while the un-plugged husband points out her faults. I'm so glad she burned his eggs!

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: DON'T DO THIS TO US!

What a hilarious piece of writing! Swirsky does a marvelous job with this very funny concept that I seriously wish could work in reality! If only! I love the characters! I love the language! I love the tension created as I wait for the breaking of Jared Kushner's penis!

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: A Paper Forest - Part of the "The United Plays of America" Anthology (Minnesota)

Lucy (like the Lorax) speaks for the trees, and I love her for this! Haas has given her characters some tangible serious stakes and hopes and tasks and set them up in a beautiful spot with easy to produce instructions for us to enjoy a magical theatrical play that helps us through what feels like an imminent crisis that could be enormously overwhelming. Grateful for this! Read it and produce it everywhere!

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: THE GOLDENS

What a deliciously fabulous piece of theatre! I LOVE IT!!!!!!! Why hasn't it been produced a thousand times? This is a very dark play that made me laugh out loud for joy at the great revenge Mary takes! And the tiny details involved. Great work!

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: Married Bliss

MARRIED BLISS is a can of worms opening - or perhaps spilling out onto a luge track - and then,,, ? It could go really dark! It could be directed many ways! Marriage is filled with unknown possibilities, and here we have Koppen's very funny and easily staged morning in bed to enjoy! I do!

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: Two Cats Explain the Monstrous Moth Group

Weird morsel of a play that Thal cooks up for us. I love the way he plays with his characters and the levels of reality from the television to the human to the animal and what takes precedence when. Thal seems to want us to see ourselves from other angles. Our humanity is a marvel on display here. Much to consider! And funny! And it would be really fun to watch!
