  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: Unseen

A mystery and a political exploration of how we live, a romance and a psychological portrait, Unseen makes me wonder how much can we witness? How much can we blind ourselves to? This is a wonderful 3-hander for 3 strong female actors in a tightly structured drama that would be simple to produce! I'd love to see it!

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: World Builders

This is a charming piece that starts out a somewhat quirky rom-com but ends up something so deep and true and wonderful - it's like the discovery of a prism refracturing light - that so much could come from such a seemingly simple set-up - I am fascinated and thrilled by it!

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: Click

This beautiful and strange new world we live in is captured in this dark exploration of rape culture, high tech and greed in a flexible cast play with a Greek Chorus - and I love a Greek Chorus! The language is stunning throughout! Although the play moves wonderfully into a fascinating future, I found it incredibly relevant, human and haunting!

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: The Red Truck, a monologue

I know this red truck. I know what it is to dismiss what is happening, what could happen, what did happen, and this monologue gets it right! Thank you Rachel Bublitz for writing this! It may seem deceptively simple and yet coming to the consciousness of having been raped is not simple. What an honest clear piece for actors to work on! May it live in the world for all to see!

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: Edmund Fitzwater Doesn’t Have Any Answers for You

All the places this play takes my mind - what was Ainslee doing last night and why was Josie walking home this morning? While these characters are busy wondering about what kind of year or future they will be having, I am watching them here and now and laughing at our human frailties!

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: Bird Brains

I love birds, and these birds are wonderful and easy to love! I love how I learn new things constantly as the play unfolds, and my favorite part is the dysfunctional vulture couple - I have a play about a child and his vulture parents - and Walt and Nefertiti could be related! I'd love to see this staged!

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: CORN FRITTERS

Marvelous and funny and dark and theatrical, this play shows us how traumas can haunt us forever! All the senses are brought to life in this dramatic one-act! Highly recommend!

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: LEAVE PHILADELPHIA, NEVER

Here is a beautifully poetic drama with wonderful roles for women - a female protagonist - a young woman who - now that her father has died - has her future spreading out before her and makes a radical decision, and the drama unfolds with precision and care! A stunning scene referencing Death of a Salesman (top of act 2) will thrill theatre lovers, but there's much more to recommend it than that! The outside world is evoked throughout the interior scenes and provides additional pressure on the characters to great effect!

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: Black Super Hero Magic Mama

Brilliant, moving, funny, tragic and true - a healing ritual and a beautiful play that gives us what is so important in the midst of these awful times - a way to begin to process and talk about the awful truths people go through and empathize! Craig-Galván creates windows into inner experience through the theatrical personification of comic book super heroes and villains. LOVE THIS!

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: River.Swamp.Cave.Mountain.

A beautiful and necessary play for all ages but especially the young ones who need to understand and see other young people having big huge emotions that accompany grief and then they get to see people living through them! EXCELLENT!
