We DO need plays about Capitalism, and this one-act is a highly economically-enlightening play, but its true value does not lie in its ability to teach us but in the form of how entertaining it is! Add it all up, and it's worth quite a lot!

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: Wave Walker

Yes, oceans are sometimes the only thing large enough to hold our grief, and this one refuses to do that! How large it all feels! How impossible to surmount! I love the scale of this short but intense impactful piece. I love how Nature is so much larger than the humans in the play. And I love how the final response/action can be a movement toward creation.

Brilliant and Exciting! This is intensely theatrical and timely! Wow - I won't forget this soon - and it made me think, holy shi$%^! I too live on an island!

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: The Show Must NOT Go On!

Hilarity Ensues! Wonderfully funny farce of a Shakespeare mash-up that is brilliant and easy to produce! What more could a theatre want? Very very smart work linguistically too! And so so so so so much fun!

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: Skin and Bone

What thrills me in this play is desire and longing in older female characters, and how I am so willing to hope for Midge and Madge even after I know what they are after! Marvelously dark and funny, Goldfinger crafts a puzzle that all fits together in what looks to be an ordinary bit of furnishing in the end... and I loved the Raid cans!

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: Reading Hebron

I love this play! Not only does it give us all a great sense of what it's like to be a conscious Jew in the world-at-large while Israel carries out horrors in our name, but READING HEBRON does this in a way that is accessible, understandable and actually ENJOYABLE - thank you Jason Sherman! May this play be produced again and again wherever free speech still exists!

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: The Woman Behind/In Front of Me in the 15 Items or Less Line at Wal-Mart (a monologue)

This is a hilarious character study in rudeness! Everyone has experienced this. Real and true, and it'll get a response from the audience! When you're looking for a contrasting monologue, this could be just the ticket!

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: FASCISM! THE MUSICAL

Democracy Colostomy and a Capitalism Jesus - this is the most fabulous musical for this moment! And it just keeps on getting more and more timely!

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: RAY'S CANDY STORE

A beautiful slice of life play set in my hometown (NYC) that I love so much! It is a lovable play juxtaposing someone who survived serious danger and trauma with a wide-eyed corn-fed actress who wants to give up after witnessing a suicide. So much intensity handled so well by Carnes with skill and strong linguistic choices.
