  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: Fénix

This is a brilliant monologue that gets to the heart of the hatred of women that we all live with across the globe. Burbano's artistry and craft allows us to question assumptions of how we are brought up to think of women as flesh first, how we are immersed in a global culture of objectification, and hopefully how we can learn to see women as human beings, people, yes, even triumphant heroes who refuse to disappear, be silenced or hide.

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: MONESSEN FALLS

For a family drama, Monessen Falls feels dangerously exciting while Burdick still manages to keep it very real. There is nothing here that smacks of anything ordinary, and the play twists and turns on its own terms. Very well written!

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: 10%

This rings so true! Hageman has created a super monologue for teens that seems to really capture the power of the emotions in those difficult years. Kudos!

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: Cam Baby

Brilliant Play! A most wonderful comedy, perfect in so many ways: when Tim becomes the monster, the way each character = their phones, the way we see the video live, the way everyone is trying so hard to be "real" - I thoroughly enjoyed it. But the best thing is how clear Moss writes about the way men treat women as garbage, the wonderful way Clara lets Matabang know that he treated her poorly even before she learns the extent of it. Thank you Moss for making this - I hope it gets produced everywhere!

THIS! SUCH A NECESSARY PLAY TODAY! I hope it gets produced in every single high school and junior high school across the country! It should be mandatory! Assigned reading at the very least! So much love and understanding in this short play, so simple to produce, yes we can do this! Read, produce, repeat, now!

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: A Split Second

Heart-stopper of a play! Beautifully rendered with the split-stage and the consequences of a story we put together in the audience as the 2 women relate their stories in 2 different states (metaphorically and actual). O'Grady has written a terribly real tragedy.

WOW! Such a great short play! I LOVE IT! I LOVE how creative and fun it would be onstage - this MUST GET DONE LIKE EVERYWHERE ALL THE TIME! Fun, funny, easy to produce, real, sad and moving!

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: The Four Senses of Love

Laugh out loud funny, & while I don't know his work well enough to say for sure, one of Jolly's fortes is to look at something so sideways and present it to us from such a strange angle, that suddenly we see freshly all the great possibilities we missed before! The metaphor of sensory deprivation creates an unusual look into how we fall and what love can do for us all...

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: An Irishman and a Wedding Ring Walk Into A Bar (10 min)

Great role for an actor! And a super play about an impossible decision to make. Nicely done. Every thing you'd want to see gets seen and done only not at all how I would have expected them, a pleasure to encounter!
