Female experience is dramatic to me no matter what time it's set in, so this anachronistic play entices me into its dream-like realm where all female experience seems to exist together out of time. There is truth in the mud, holes and cigarettes, the traps for women to fall into. I love the poetry of the world and the ideas the play brings up for me in terms of how we value ourselves in a world where we are worthless. And the carousel breaks my heart!

Love this beautifully moving play about trauma that really connects the similar experiences of veterans and survivors of rape in palpable, healing ways. It shows us reality in such a magical way so that those of us lucky enough to experience Femia's work can better articulate these hard realities. PRODUCE THIS PLAY!!!!

Such a fun, honest piece! 29th Street did a reading of this play, and the actors had a blast with it! Especially the man who got to play all the roles! This is the kind of play that changes the energy in the room! Produce it! Enjoy it! It's exhilarating!

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: Pre-War

We did a reading of this play at 29th Street, and it really moved everyone in the room! The characters are clearly struggling and the way out is unclear as they are able to serve each other in unforseen ways. It is a wonderful piece that shows the value of sharing our experiences. Hopeful and uplifting!

We DO need plays about Capitalism, and this one-act is a highly economically-enlightening play, but its true value does not lie in its ability to teach us but in the form of how entertaining it is! Add it all up, and it's worth quite a lot!

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: Wave Walker

Yes, oceans are sometimes the only thing large enough to hold our grief, and this one refuses to do that! How large it all feels! How impossible to surmount! I love the scale of this short but intense impactful piece. I love how Nature is so much larger than the humans in the play. And I love how the final response/action can be a movement toward creation.

Hilarity Ensues! Wonderfully funny farce of a Shakespeare mash-up that is brilliant and easy to produce! What more could a theatre want? Very very smart work linguistically too! And so so so so so much fun!

What thrills me in this play is desire and longing in older female characters, and how I am so willing to hope for Midge and Madge even after I know what they are after! Marvelously dark and funny, Goldfinger crafts a puzzle that all fits together in what looks to be an ordinary bit of furnishing in the end... and I loved the Raid cans!
