I truly love plays that go places I never saw coming. This 2 hander was a pleasure to read with its complex characters and sharp dialogue. So glad that this play got picked to be developed at PlayPenn!!

Love how this play uses scientific concepts to look at the human condition. A young woman finds her place in the STEM field and the power she hold in a relationship with her professor. A really interesting 2 hander.

The search for one's purpose in life is certainly not a new thing explored in theatre so I'm truly glad that Bernardo has taken this subject on in such a unique way. A hilarious satire on what we do to fill our lives that will certainly be a gift to actors, directors and designers. The lack of concrete stage directions and gendered language give artists makes you know this is a play written by an actor who loves to just create theatre.

A play for this post-Trump world that imagines society as a matriarchy in a really unique way. It's a play that explored the stories we tell, who gets to tell them and how they are told.

Between Stupid F*cking Bird and the upcoming film adaptation, Chekhov's The Seagull seems to be having a moment. This musical is one of the best takes on the Russian great's work that I have ever read. 4 complex and relatable characters ponder life and art and the songs are really well-written. Chekhov lovers will dig it but it also stands on it's own as just a really good play. Produce this now!!!

I love this play soooo much!!! It's for sure inside baseball (or inside non-equity regional theatre) but definitely won't alienate any audiences who aren't in that field. This play deals with friendship, dying dreams, fear of failure. All those things that make-up great Chekhovian theatre.

In true Caridad Svich fashion, this play says so much with few words and poetic monologues speak so much truth. This is a play about the wars that are fight far away and in your own backyard and how difficult it can be to come home for yourself and those left behind. Like so many of Svich's plays, this one is a treat for directors, designers and actors. I can't wait to see a theatre take on this piece.

This is a fascinating two-hander that makes us sit with how we deal with beloved artists that have done horrible things. The characters are so complex and this play does what great theatre should do, leave the audience with way more questions than answers.

This play was such a delight to read!!! Walters has written a play that gives a detailed portrait of life in this planet's most secretive nation, an engaging tale of a young woman's journey to self discovery and a meditation on trust and family. This play expertly alternates between telling an epic, fantastical story and developing characters in intimate moments. This is the kind of honest, complex theatre that the Asian American community deserves. Bravo!!

A tight ten minute play that has so much relevance to our current society. Rachel Bublitz in a short amount of time has created a dystopian future in a play that's perfect blend of horror and satire.
