  • Shaun Leisher: Campy; The Search for Summer’s Campiest Camper

A super entertaining look into a community of people that don't get representation in modern-day media. Loved how complex these characters are and how hellbent they are on not being seen as stereotypes. A sweet rom-com that I can't wait to see produced one day. Fantastic and rich roles for Native actors.

  • Shaun Leisher: In this Sepulcher, We Are Fed

A great examination of class and gender in 18th century France. The guillotine looms heavily in this play as we watch people do things differently than what is usual for their status. At any moment we are aware these characters are a word away from losing their head. Hard not to feel hopeful by the end of this play.

  • Shaun Leisher: OriGen Story

A wonderful work of theatrical poetry. I know the invitation is there to pick and choose what pieces you want to feature in a production but I can't understand a production without all 86. Each and every piece is a work of pure genius. A beautiful story is woven with these 86 pieces and I hope theatres are brave enough to present them all to an audience who needs to hear this narrative.

  • Shaun Leisher: YELLOW FEVER

Love how racial identity is explored in this play. Such an honest depiction of modern dating and how race plays into it. Great roles for Asian actors.

  • Shaun Leisher: This Road in the Shape of My Spine

A fantastic (near) 2-hander about two lost people trying to find themselves in the desert. It's a play about hating life. It's a play about true friendship. It's great spending time with these characters and seeing them grow through their time together. An absurdist piece that I'd love to see produced someday.

  • Shaun Leisher: Beta Bitches

A terrifying play with great roles for younger actresses. A play about how cruel teens can be and how lost they can get while trying to be liked by cruel people. Lots of potential for stage magic in this play. I'd love to see it fully produced. The ending left me with lots of hope for these characters and their friendship.

A moving re-telling of ancient stories. Would love to see this fully produced someday with all the messiness this play requires.

  • Shaun Leisher: crisis

A bloody thriller of a play. Great roles for trans* actors. This is going to be a blast for fight directors to take on.

  • Shaun Leisher: TENDER ROUGH ROUGH TENDER

A brilliant two-hander about complicated people finding each other. Love how theatrical this piece is. Love how much room there is for dance and creative movement. Two people that shouldn't "work" together but by the end you can't help but root for them.

  • Shaun Leisher: Untitled Calamity Jane Play

An excellent, meta-theatrical look at the life of one of the most famous individuals of the Wild West. A play that looks at how legacies are passed down. Calamity Jane was a larger-than-life figure and I don't think we'll ever know the real truth about her. This is an ensemble piece that would be a blast to produce.
