  • To Santa’s Lap We Go!
    25 Feb. 2023
Payback is...painful, if you are this particular Santa. A wonderful play about tolerance, and the importance of allies. Mrs. Claus gets two snaps and a chaines turn from me! Playwright Lee Lawing has written a subversive and sublime holiday play that SHOULD be in every festival. Read, produce, and be an ally!
  • Clairvoyáge
    25 Feb. 2023
This play was a hoot from start to finish! As someone who has visited mediums for over thirty years, I enjoyed the skewering of the charlatans of the profession, the ribald humor, and the fast pace. A fabulous farce with lots of moving pieces. Playwright John Busser has crafted an entertaining look at a very enterprising woman. Read and produce it - it's your DESTINY! All signs point to YES for many fabulous productions of Clairvoyage.
  • Please Hold On
    23 Feb. 2023
Please Hold On is one of the most imaginative and metaphorical plays I've read in a long time. I don't want to give too much away as there's such pleasure in reading this theatrical jaunt. Suffice it to say that Man and Woman will have your attention from first announcement to last and you'll listen differently the next time you take public transportation. A highly theatrical and stylized piece, an homage to Beckett and Theatre of the Absurd, yet firmly grounded in the present. Read and produce!
  • The Morning After (Ten Minute)
    23 Feb. 2023
Wow. I did not see that ending coming! Playwright Paul Donnelly has given us a clever, thought-provoking short play on one of my favorite themes: well-known characters backstories and future forwards. Using characters styled after "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf", Donnelly has fun with the oeuvre and isn't afraid of a twist or two. Extremely theatrical and a hoot to read.
  • The Replacement
    17 Feb. 2023
A fantastic play that uses humor to make a very important point about hatred, ignorance, and scapegoating. I loved every line. Bobby bubby baby will lead the way! This play should be performed in all the festivals. Always.
  • Smile, Baby
    4 Feb. 2023
Every girl, every woman on the planet has experienced this. Thank you Claudia Haas for crafting a comeback we'll all be longing to put in to action. Expertly written, this short play should be required reading and viewing in every educational facility in the country.
  • The United Plays of America - New York
    4 Feb. 2023
A native New Yorker and artist, I love this piece, and you will too, no matter where you live! Playwright Claudia Haas has crafted a gorgeous tribute to art, museums, and experiencing the painting. Sylvia and Miller go on a journey you won't soon forget and will cause you to look at art differently in the future. Beautifully crafted and a joy to read.
  • Doughnut Disturb
    2 Feb. 2023
Mr. Weibezahl, you had me at Doughnut Disturb, but if you feel you must write something after the title...very well. An exquisitely crafted short play about two men, as opposite as can be, who had a defining moment in high school. A smart take on bullying and how our words and actions matter. You'll fall in love with Colin and understand Dominic, and will also be very hungry for doughnuts and pizza. Read and produce it right away!
  • Getting Out of Bed in the Morning
    26 Jan. 2023
What a beautiful and wrenchingly authentic piece about life's pressures, college, breakups, poor eating habits, and depression. So relatable, so well-written, and two very empathetic characters in Mark and Fig. Highly theatrical, highly moving, and highly recommended!
  • Romance in History
    23 Jan. 2023
A beautiful monologue about family origins, the lies we tell and the truth we obscure, all powered by the interior monologue we have with ourselves when searching for a mate. Playwright Christopher Soucy writes with great authenticity and detail, in a moving moment of the narrator's life.
