  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Moments Away

This apocalyptic postcard between 2 people is powerful. A true reminder that sometimes things feel bigger than they are until something truly big looms before you and allows you to forget the minor infractions of the past...no matter how much future you have ahead of you.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Why the Ocean Not?

I adore this scene for young or young at heart actors! It feels so familiar to my childhood. But the beauty of this scene is how clearly Lane understands the hierarchy of the playground politics they are all mired in and simply refuses to participate. And how confidently Pearl just takes a spot amongst the "mermaids" regardless of their attitude toward the towel Pearl has. It's a show of strength most kids don't know they have and how easily they can assert it with violence or harsh retorts. It's lovely.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Fags in Hell

When you look behind the goofy, over the top portrayals of hell and its tortures in this play, you can see the deeper message. We should be much further along on this planet when it comes to dealing with the LGBTQ of our world. It is like they are "at some gay second act standstill and the plot won't budge." If only Hercules could arrive and bring us all into a better world where we don't have to "learn to accept (our) fate."

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: The United Plays of America - An Anthology of Fifty-One Short Plays set in every state in the USA + D.C.

I was excited and impressed to see Claudia Haas had tackled short plays featuring all 50 states + Washington DC. What an amazing collection of work. This is perfect for students to tackle and give many actors a chance to shine while also giving audiences a chance to tour the USA!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Rocket Women

This is an amazingly layered 10 minute play. The emotions are so powerful, even in these futuristic "colony on Mars" circumstances, the relationship between Macy and Abby is relatable. I found myself leaning in and catching my breath as I watched two people who are in love, realize they can't love each other they way they need. Heartbreakingly beautiful.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Stage Fright

All theatres are haunted, sure. But are all humans haunted as well? And why? The theatre is a magical place that illuminates truths and in STAGE FRIGHT, through a series of "auditions" we see some extremely dark truths come into the spotlight!

  • A picture postcard moment of three friends hoping to start a new day with a new future for their friend Moon. Absolutely #FriendGoals and touching.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Allen Abduction

This play keeps upping the ante page after page and you could never predict the cards Busser is about to deal you! Alien/Allen fans will "sop this up with a biscuit!" So much out of this world comedy in ten fast-paced pages. Great characters (just try not to laugh at Deke's description) and even greater dialogue! This will be a favorite in a sci-fi fest for sure!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: A Lovers' Quarrel

This epic and cinematic tale about a black family trying to survive living in the south just after World War II will take audiences on a powerful journey. The Parker family is strong, stronger than the world gives them credit for. Their bond is clear, but those in power continually try to break them and block them from their dreams. Super strong characters here. A true American tragedy.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Please, Don't Go

This is a gut punch, for sure. A snapshot of the "What if"s one goes through while mired in grief.
