This feels like the start of the next great sci-fi series! Is Nathan Fillion available? I love Charlie's humor and frustration dealing with a somewhat useless AI that can possibly help, for an upgrade fee!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: THE RITUAL (ten minute play)

OMG! This is absolutely HILARIOUS! And, to be honest, somewhat believable with what kids know and can do these days! This is brilliantly staged so that, like in Greek Theatre, the greatest horrors are merely described giving the audience the paintbrush to create the best scenes themselves. This also makes this a great candidate for audio theatre, too! Great for any play fest, not just horror or Lovecraft themed evenings!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: I AM A WRITER

This poem of artistic rejection hits hard. But it also hits true. Artists will see their own broken souls in these words and quiver, but rejoice, for they are not alone. And eventually we will all rise from the ashes of our own writing.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Quit Delivering Heart-Shaped Pizza to the Bears

This is hilarious! And actually, a good reason not to feed the bears at the zoo. It just empowers them and makes them want more and more...kind of like that mouse with a cookie. But these bears are far more nefarious! ...aw, who could blame them, though? It's pizza!! So much fun for an ensemble to tackle. Everyone gets to share in the laughs.

Oh my gosh I love the swift pace of this play. The honesty from Brittany along with the truth bombs from Mary make this piece so very funny as well as enlightening. This is a favorite, for sure!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Cambriolage

This over the top farce feels like a brilliant classic theatre students should have been studying and obsessed with for years! But the twist in this play is you will NEVER see the same show twice! The actors names are drawn at random by an audience member and they are assigned their roles at the start of the show. If this play wasn't funny enough already to bring people back again and again, the promise of a new show every night will have the run of this sold out to standing room only! So much fun!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Familiar

Damn, this hits hard. But beyond the sadness of watching your father forget who you are is the beauty of the candid conversation Jon is able to have with his father believing he is a stranger. The love between the two, though clouded by dementia, is clear and strong. "Pay attention more and worry less." Very good advice.

This is poem brought to life. A poem of tragedy and resilience. When something beautiful from your past is suddenly a reminder of how terrible things have become, it's hard to let it go. I love that Ima keeps the ballerina from her music box though. It gives hope that she will be strong facing her future. And Mark isn't designed as just "the bad guy" of this story, either. But he is a glaring example of what happens when dark feelings aren't confronted and adjusted before they make humans into monsters.

I absolutely adore this! Geoff's last speech hits home in the sweetest puppy-lensed way. And the last line had me truly "bark laughing" out loud! But the message here, whether from dog or self definitely should be heard and heeded and that's what makes this play so very special!

If only there were more Jadens in the world and less of Lilia's boyfriend. This is powerful and hopeful and perhaps will give audiences the tools and ideas to look out for one another like Jaden did for Lilia.
