  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: WHAT A DOLL - A CHRISTMAS COMEDY

As a child, you always wondered why mom and dad were so tired on Christmas morning. This short play with a little slapstick comedy is so relatable and a great scene to add to your holiday lineup of plays.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: ALPHABET SOUP

This would be great for a senior theatre group to perform and possibly do a talk back after! Inclusivity without excluding anyone is complicated! Wendy is welcomed with open arms, open minds and warm muffins. The world will change a lot, but the theatre is always there for us all!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: is my sun shining?

I love that Brayden would always ask "is my sun shining?" It's absolutely adorable. As dramatic as his exit from this world, it seems Alec was on a similar, although slower path of destruction through his grief. Luckily, Brayden returns for one last visit to shine a light and guide his love to a better future. One that can continue to honor Brayden through a mutual connection. An ending to a literal and figurative storm with both a literal and figurative rainbow!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Thr33

GET OUT OF MY HEAD! This is so relatable and kind of validating to know I am not the only one with a crowded brain every night. Maybe I just need to talk reason to these noisy characters? Very fun play.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: First Date 2099

As stoic and awkward as these two appear to be, this really is romantic. Beyond the world that they are regulated to, they are following their hearts, the contracts be damned...but still be signed! Absolutely funny and adorable!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: The Comedian

This play comes out swinging and doesn't let up. Don't let the title fool you, Robin is definitely a comedian, but as it is with most comedians, his jokes cover a much deeper pain. And that pain resonates out to those around him. This is not so much a story of "nature vs nurture" as the characters seem to believe, but rising like a phoenix from the ashes despite the tragedies that befall you. Alice will set a great example to her uncle by doing just that.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Fly Away - A 5-Minute Play

What a way to start a morning. For Lacey and David as well as for me, the reader! This is a beautiful 2 hander about loss and the need to hold on to something to keep from drowning in grief. But there is hope in these short pages, because, even though Lacey and David have slightly different needs in their belief of what is beyond, they can come together and believe in each other.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Hat Trick

What starts out as possibly the worst Valentine's Day ever for Cassidy begins a journey to enlightenment for her. The ghosts of her past shine a light on the ghoul of her present, and she uses the light to find her way to herself and a better future. Or at least a great bottle of wine, which pairs nicely with a little vengefulness!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: A DOUBT MY PLAY (10-minutes)

Oh the feels! The anxiety! The playwright's need to share, but the fear of hearing what their innermost thoughts mean to others. This is so well demonstrated. But with mother gently washing her baby's anxieties away at the end, we must remember "It's only a play." Even if that play is everything to the playwright.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Pit

Wow! The microcosm of The Pit is intense! It is indeed, filled with the humorous and mundane ways the prisoners must pass the time while stuck in this scary hole, but when a Third Wheel is added to the party, things get scarier than just wondering "why" they are there. It's like taking an ant farm and watching them work together, then shaking the box and watching it make them fight each other. A terrible human social experiment. Dark and somewhat scary to see the truth that lies in our own inner "pits."
