  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Literally Forever

To hear Harmony's story, you know the real monsters aren't the ones who drink blood. At least, not exclusively. And Leah is getting the gift from Harmony to rise above all that. With the perspective of eternity, plus the power she feels growing inside her it's amazing she is ready to forgo the "scaring old bullies" and fully embrace her "bloody new world." Luckily she has a wonderful teacher to guide her "literally forever."

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: NOW BOARDING

This broke me. Debbie handles Agatha and her treasures with such grace and skill. But also sees them for the gift they are to her. It never feels like the right time to do something nice for yourself, until it's too late. Debbie will not wait for her final call. I am happy for her.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Conundrums Consolidated

This is just delightful! Take your favorite 1960s mystery solving troupe, add a little necromancy, and maybe a dash of Dabney and you get this fun short! Absolutely fun quips and a killer ending! I would love to see more adventures with these characters.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Everything In Between

Oh damn, this hit me hard at the end. I think I started the play in Xan's shoes, knowing that this was just an AI version of Deb it kind of took the emotion out of it...but I was so wrong. Because it put ALL the emotion on to Xan so that the last word is almost a sucker punch. Beautiful.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: The Impossible Narrator

Ah, the thirst of young improv actors to do whatever the narrator tells them....to a point? Nope! Not in this comedy! The stage calls and they jump to every scenario this narrator sends them! A great ensemble piece.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: The Coat Check Girl

Theatre is a reflection of life. And it is so very clear in this play. Many of us have been blessed to live a somewhat safe and isolated life from the atrocities of war. We see it in "stories," even if the stories are the news. It's hard to look away. Like the coat check girl. But is she engaged in the story or looking for guidance and marching orders? Artists today will be very moved and shaken by this story. The show must go on. But so must freedom.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Something Bigger

This monologue really illustrates how big and how small the world is. How we always want more, but also less. And why? Very relatable. We're lost, but at least we're lost together.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: The Insider's Guide to Hell (monologue)

Demon as concierge to Hell? HELL-arious! Especially when we discover who Orobas is talking to and why they don't think they belong here. Brilliant! What a great piece to perform or witness!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: THE LINGERING SCENT OF ORANGES

Wow. This is such a special short play. The message is bright, but so very loud and important. Live while you can. Burn the nice candle, use the good china and live in the whole world with your whole self. These sisters are full and wonderful characters. I adore them both. I'm going to go burn that decorative candle now!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: 37 Origami Bees

This may be a historical piece, but the feeling is so very now. Mitsuko has a very powerful monologue in response to Hyun-ae's rigid views. The use of sparse costuming makes the origami bit of the kimono all the more powerful. Origami of self is seriously a fascinating way to look at how people try to fit in to different social situations. Poetic.
