  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: 37 Origami Bees

The movie references were so great! Grandpa has some great comedic monologues. A fun piece for an older actor to maybe perform with actual grandchildren!

The science! The heart! The thousands of consumed energy drinks! These ingredients make for a fun and very touching short play. Mina's multiple misnames of Shay and Rosie are very fun. Shay's patience with Mina's process is wonderful. The pay-off is delightful!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Brides Gown Revisited

Very relatable comedy. It's true, certain items can be embodied with a lot of importance based on stories we hear from others without having the full context. Very fun characters, especially Mavis!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: The Yard Sale (ten-minute play)

Two military wives make a very touching connection. Laney very beautifully discovers getting rid of things doesn't mean getting rid of the memories. And her husband's voice is very much a part of her through this scene.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: JACK AND JILL

This play starts off with familiar banter between two people married for a long time. But then we get to hear Jack's inner thoughts, how he has gotten to this point in his life and his uncertainty about it. He also wants to be a hero again, like when he was young, instead of just his wife's chauffeur. And perhaps that is all his wife sees in him these days, a chauffeur and a grey haired toddler. But by the end, we see that maybe all that will change. Will it be for the better, though?

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Small Potatoes

At first I was worried about where this play was going. I thought how rude this Marie was for calling Carla from a vacation. But wow, the message at the end was so, so powerful! This is exactly the point women need to hear and stop judging each other for their paths to or away from motherhood.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Breaking The Camel's Back

What a lovely story of Libby growing beyond her world of self and learning about the women who came before her, allowing her to be the social media influencer she is today. The past comes alive in her grandmother's attic, showing her the struggles she had and the beauty she brought into the world. Hopefully Libby expands her followers world experience after this episode in the attic!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Life Choices

That last line is chilling! This is what women are fighting to have. A true choice in their path. Some actually do have a choice, some BELIEVE they have a choice, and some are just coasting through based on choices made by others with more power. Lots of dark comic moments, but truly scary!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Someone Told Me It's All Happening at the Zoo

This is so funny, but also made me think. Everyone has a different perspective on their situation just like every animal does in this play. And some may fly in with a "simple" solution, but only if you have the same background like the pigeon!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: 13 Seconds with Lin-Manuel Miranda

This is adorable! And so relatable for anyone who has ever deeply admired a celebrity and planned in their head what they would do if they ever got even "13 seconds" with them. And the ending is honestly inspirational and hopeful!
