  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Bugs

The world building in this one act is so intense. This would be a great piece for student directors, designers and performers to tackle. So much to put your own original spin on. And great dramatic roles to perform. I am intrigued and want to hear more about Wormy's tale...

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: When in Rome

This is such a fun farce! The name play alone will draw you in, but there are so many clever jokes scattered throughout you might need to see this play twice to catch them all! Brilliant marketing, in my opinion! That's an extra ticket sold per audience member! THUMBS UP!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: No Present Like the Time

This is a story of how a child can never truly understand the depths of a mother's love. However, the twist at the end took me entirely by surprise! I absolutely gasped at the end. A wonderful piece to add to your short play festival. The audience will be talking about this one for a long time.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Barbarian

In 10 short pages, Prillaman does what Prillaman does best, creating a world unfamiliar yet still relatable to the audience. And, as often occurs in the Pages of Prillaman, a light is shone on the darkest reaches, highlighting fears and nightmares. I love how the "monster" is truly curious about their victim's moral compass and how they cling to the laws of an unseen God. This feels like the beginning of a very cool horror film. A future cult classic.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Come Back Right

I love how this is framed. A horror play hidden within a David Ives style comedy. Sneaky! And absolutely brilliant. There are so many things to dissect with this piece, pun intended! A perfect play for your Halloween program...or a sneaky surprise on a "regular" night of theatre! But really, there is more to this than just an ode to Mary Shelley. I am very impressed.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: On the Eighth Day of Hanukkah My True Love Gave to Me

Oh this is such a sweet and beautiful play! What great characters to play off of each other and really show off a range in emotions. This is not your typical holiday play, and you should definitely add it to your holiday program! I absolutely adore both Irv and Sheila and I am so glad they have each other to make it through the 8th night together.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Crucifix (a monologue)

Oh, this is just beautiful and tragically powerful. There are so many layers to this short piece. It may only be a minute, but the impact on the audience as well as the performer will last a lifetime...and beyond?

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: All Right

This is such a gut punch of a play. I love how Val and Jen are both giving voice to the reasons people do and don't report such crimes. The 3 characters could really all be the same person, just going back and forth trying to decide what to do after this traumatic event. It's definitely a play that needs discussion afterwards.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: The Island Timeshare of Dr. Moreau

You know what is a bigger sci-fi/fiction story than THE ISLAND OF DR. MOREAU? The concept of "timeshares." I am so glad Busser has tackled this important scam with this morality play. Let this be a warning to you! If you invest in a time share, you might just get lost in The House of Pain...not THAT House of Pain! Another Busser original with big, fun characters and a creative design to execute!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: We Are The Broken People

Graphic and poetic. This is a piece that needs to be heard. It offers insight through art and a possible window to empathy before a tragic end.
