  • Lisa Dellagiarino Feriend: CUBIST RODEO CLOWNING

This short play will keep you on your toes! It flows along on a river of absurdity and ends with the perfect button. I particularly loved Briar's mini-monologue praising the joys to be found in vacuuming. This short is a ton of fun!

I love this. I looooove this. This short play is a Mrs. Claus origin story which will make women everywhere nod along in agreement. Martha's righteous rage is cathartic and hilarious, and I absolutely adored this piece from start to finish. Incredibly smart and funny!

  • Lisa Dellagiarino Feriend: Everything Here Is So Delicious (short)

This short play is both hilarious and horrifying as the stakes continuously rise. I kept thinking that surely there was no way to heighten things further, but there always was. The world building is great - a terrifying not-so-distant future which feels way too plausible for comfort. With the haves and the have nots on full display, this is a play that sticks with you.

  • Lisa Dellagiarino Feriend: Things Are Looking Up

As with so many of Vince Gatton's shorts, he draws you in with well written, fully formed characters and then drops something on you once you're fully invested and care about them. I love his writing. This short packs a punch and what it leaves unsaid and unseen makes everything else more powerful. Such great work.

  • Lisa Dellagiarino Feriend: Go Knights! (Ten Minute)

What a great piece for senior actors! In this short, a woman is cut from the cheer squad, but her husband and her best friend are not. The emotions she goes through and the motivations she articulates feel very true to life. In fact, all three characters come across as true human beings with complexities and an entire backstory which peeks through. Plus there's a cheer routine. Truly a piece that has it all!

  • Lisa Dellagiarino Feriend: The Big Sneeze (or Much Achoo About Nothing)

This one act is pure silliness. A romantic comedy about an injury-prone actor and an assistant stage manager, we follow them from the theater to the pickleball court to the hospital and beyond, as folks try to give them advice which they have a hard time taking because you can lead two people to romance, but you can't make them fall in love until they've visited the hospital a few times. Lots of fun!

I was not prepared for how sweet this short was going to be! Two men, both of whom live with their parents, meet at a hotel for a fun, sexy time, and I wish I could follow these two through an entire full length. I love the dialogue as they get to know each other better, pre-sex, while Jeremy tries to vape and Eli tries to ensure the room is clean. They're very different people, but they work well together. I love it.

  • Lisa Dellagiarino Feriend: TERRIBLE BEAUTY 2.0

The rise of AI has led to a lot of "What if the robot overlords kill us all?" catastrophizing, but this short play highlights a quieter, less sensational catastrophe we're on the cusp of: Is it still art if it's generated by a computer? Is it still art when so much of what makes art work is the human component of it? What if we end up in a world where computers generate artistic works that are not quite right, that are missing the special sauce, and we all end up forgetting what art used to be like? Great stuff!

Oh my gosh, what a wild ride this short is. So hilarious and so much fun as an elf and a lady made of jello get some lessons in anatomy from a skondawdle (which was a new word for me - I got a lesson, too) and Santa Claus. I have no idea how Chris Soucy thought this play into existence, but I'm so glad he did.

  • Lisa Dellagiarino Feriend: The Melatonin Miners

Famous dead people keep showing up in Steve's bedroom in this short, as we try to figure out right alongside him what in the world is going on. I love how each character has such a distinct voice - I'm sure this would be a dream for actors! Original and fun, this is an entertaining, outside-the-box Christmas play.
