  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Eleven Days (Play Version)

OOOOOOOOOOOOOO! That's what I wanted to say when I reached the brilliant ending of this piece! The dialogue of the piece itself is wonderfully touching, tense and funny in places so it is sure to captivate any audience. That coupled with the slow escalation of tension the playwright builds over the eight pages is brilliantly done. Add that to the ending you don't see coming and you will definitely want more from this play, I know I did!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Joey Age 6

Despite the fact that I ended reading this play with tears in my eyes I think the playwright has done a very brave thing. Child abuse is a topic that is very difficult to portray where it holds the audiences attention. The additional of the imaginary friends monologue gives this piece another dimension and its brilliantly done. I have to say that I, like the imaginary friend, wanted nothing more than to rescue Joey from the horror he faces and that's why I think this piece needs to be seen, so every audience member wants to rescue Joey.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Birthday Beer

The conundrum of being in love with your best friend is one that has been shown in many different forms but the way Jacquelyn has done it is the sweetest. I love both characters (despite Dean's short comings) and all I want to do now is see the events of them going through school together and the unrequited love that eventually leads to the beautiful moment that is creates in this piece. Any audience who goes to see it won't be able to help going "Aw!"

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Fairy Godmother & Associates (one-act play)

I always love a new look at a fairy tale but this is truly brilliant! By page five I was already giggling out loud and the play kept giving after that. I could hear the wonderful character's voices in my head as I proceeded to read about their adventures with love and technology. This piece is crying out to be performed as an alternative to a traditional pantomime. I truly think the playwright has outdone herself here! We see 'twists' on fairy tales every day but this piece has more twists and turns than you know what to do with!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: ENCORE (WITH VIOLIN): A MONOLOGUE

Asher has this amazing talent for creating wonderful characters in his monologue's and always manages to give you a story that you can see in your mind's eye when you read it. This piece in particular really ticked me! You have to feel for this woman. There is a certain desperation in all of us to want to be seen and Asher has framed that perfectly with this character. As a writer of monologues, he is a force to be reckoned with!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Two of Every Animal

Kim's obsession with things getting done is one that rang relevant with me from the very beginning. At first I was lured into this being a humorous anecdote of Kim's obsession but the more I read of the beautiful poetic language the writer has loaded this piece with, the more I realised how tragically sad it is. I finished this play with the full spectrum of emotions leaping around inside me and I think it would be the same for any audience, that's what makes this play great for me.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Burning the Candle at Both Ends

For one page of dialogue this piece gives you loads to consider. The physicality of the staging would make this a very interesting piece to watch. Couple that with the two men who are struggling to balance work and home lives (something an audience will relate to) and the idea that this will leave the audience wanting more and with questions to answer. I believe the writer has done a brilliant job constructing this piece.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Ugly Doctor Hospital

There is so much to love about this play. The fact that the writer has taken a funny & original idea to create the play in the first place. Or the fact that he's created brilliantly witty characters to tell the story for you so well that you can see it, even though you can't see it. But for me the brilliance lies in the back and forth jump between being behind and peering over the '4th wall' when the characters discuss the play they are involved in, those lines had me laughing out loud!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Cinnamon

As someone who has worked in retail for several years I could feel myself getting agitated by Janet from the very beginning, in the best possible way! The writer has constructed this brilliantly amusing and very relatable scenario so that any audience member who has ever had a job that involves working with members of the public will recognise Janet, roll their eyes and then laugh at the wonderfully witty piece that has been created for them.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Etched in Stone

I've read many touching and beautiful pieces by this writer and this is another example. The subject of death is always a difficult one to portray but the writer has taken this heart wrenching subject and incoporated it with some wonderfully created characters. He then invites the audience to become part of these characters lives as they talk about their lives and losses. By the end I had both tears in my eyes and a slight smile on my face.
