  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Textual Abuse

Ghosting has sadly become an acceptable part of our society and the world of dating has become such a minefield it can be easy to 'go off the deep end' with texting. Cindi has taken this complicated side of our society and turned it into a brilliantly formed conversation where two people only communicate through texts. Would make an interesting piece for young people to see. The writer is very good at seeing the flaws in our technology obsessed society and emulating it in wonderful theatre.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Mouse

I want to know what TV programme Andy saw that has mice attacking humans!?! Outside of that sentiment, this is a wonderfully funny piece that had me giggling from start to its brilliant finish. The almost buffoonery of the two characters as they hunt this mouse is brilliantly written and I think would look wonderful in front of an audience.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: That Love Ache Feeling

There are many different types of love. The writer here has managed to pan through several different types of love in one piece. As the audience, you are introduced to Jackie and Toni, a couple who seem to burn with passion for each other and as you watch you can't help but think their love (and wedding plans) is the dream that everyone wants. And then....the writer gives a beautiful twist that will have the audience's heart's wrench! Its an emotional roller coaster where you really hope that they will still be ok. Truly brilliant.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: To the End of Time

Well just when you'd seen/read every play about relationships, along come's Maggie Gallant! This piece is a lovely heartfelt and funny piece that allows the audience to watch the courtship between Liam and Ursula a as a beautifully created physical scene. Coupled to that you have the funny back and forth between them and the whole situation flips the audiences expectations about gender on its head. Its wonderfully constructed and will have the audience smiling as well as thinking about what they have seen and that's what makes great theatre.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: The Revolution

This is a wonderfully relatable piece. After all, regardless of age, I think lots of people have been there when they turn up to a class or club and they feel totally out of their depth. Sometimes you do feel like inciting a revolution of your own! The playwright has created this brilliantly and it will have you giggling away as you think to yourself "oh yep, I've been there". I can see its had a showing at a festival and I think it would make a brilliant piece to include more festivals. Brilliantly relatable and very funny!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: THE MORNING AFTER

The Morning After is an interesting piece that looks at how one person's closed mindedness can almost destroy things. The dialogue that gives all the 'stereotyped' reasons surrounding trans people makes this piece a very interesting commentary on how parts of our society are seen from the outside, how silly things sound when we over react and how when we really stop and think about how we feel as opposed to judging, things don't have to explode. Very well done and something I think could prove educational.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Object

This is a beautiful metaphorical analysis of relationships. The writer has brilliantly portrayed how something can be looked at from both sides, how those first moments it seems like there's nothing better but then the doubts flood in and then before you know where you are, you are alone with those doubts. All this under the guise of an art dealer and his customer, its a fabulous piece!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Inn and Out

A thriller/mystery that keeps on giving! I was on the edge of my seat wanting to know what would be the next twist that the writer would bring. Its a fabulously constructed piece of intriguing theatre that will have audiences guessing right the way through. All it needs now, is a production!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: The Negotiation

Right from the beginning I thought this was a brilliant concept. The idea that all our romantic encounters and relationships are being negotiated in some other world. The writer deserves praise for that idea in itself. From there the wonderfully witty back and forth between the lawyers and the word play in this piece is brilliantly done! All of this coupled with the interesting way the writer analyses the world of relationships (between both sets of characters) makes this a wonderful piece to take to a festival!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Reunion

Sibling rivalry is a complicated situation at the best of time, adding a dead parent into that and there were always going to be fireworks. The writer constructs the relationship between the brother and sister very well in this piece. The audience are tugged back and forth from the brother's obliviousness to the sister's depression to the boiling rage between them. Its a wonderfully emotional piece with a perfectly placed ending.
