  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: OVER TIME: A ONE-PAGE ROMANTIC COMEDY

When you consider how complicated love and relationships are the fact the Adam has been able to replicate such key moments and invoke emotion from them in 1 page is nothing short of incredible. Read it, appreciated it and maybe bring it to life!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: ONCE UPON A TIME AT PENGE WEST

I've seen this scene all too often in train stations across the country where that one moment of 'the wait' is interrupted by the announcement every traveller waits for, the arrival/information for their train. I can see the scene clearly in my mind's eye and the way Paul has created it, in a simplistic way, makes me want to know more about the people that make up the crowd. Using that this could easily be expanded out to a bigger play but the scene itself is a great commentary on what its like to travel.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: OINK (re-titled)

So problematic roommates are something a lot of audiences will be able to relate to when watching this wonderfully entertaining interaction between three roommates (one of whom you never see). The emotional and chaotic dialogue as the ranting continues is sure to have audiences laughing profusely out loud! It would make a lovely piece for a festival and is something anyone looking to have their funny bone tickled should read.

Side bar - me personally, I think everyone needs an emotional support pig!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: One Fifty

Never have been so annoyed by a line of questioning! And by that I mean as a reader I found myself drawn in each time a line of questioning was started, hoping that one of them would make it to the end. Its a fascinating piece of theatre that focuses on human interaction and our reactions to those interactions. Then outside of the intrieguing nature of the play, its sure to see audiences debating in the pub afterwards regarding the reactions you see and question how youyourself may have reacted! A Fascinating piece to read and debate.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Target after lunch, and other judgments on the state of man (A monologue for men)

I often hear people I know talking about what they'd do for their children. That love, dedication and fierce protection shows brilliantly here in this monologue that talks about the complexity of being a parent to a special needs child, all the responsibility that comes with that but at the same time the desire to protect his child from the damage those who don't understand him that could bring to his future. Its a very real piece that offers a wonderfully refreshing perspective in a society where we 'expect' women to be the caregivers. Would make a wonderfully powerful performance!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Pie 2 - A Bigger Slice of Pie

“ You boys had me at 'moider'! Chris and Morey have done it again by taking the fabulous characters of the 1st portion of Pie and bringing us another mystery that provides mystery, romance and humour in droves! There's not much to say about the story without ruining it for you but if the detective genre ever was going to have a spoof then the adventures of John Pie is DEFINITELY it! I look forward to the Sunday night series! ”

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: NEW MOON

I love a play that presents images in my mind and this piece does that in spades. As Clara talks about her life, tying it to the moon and the ocean, your mind swims with beautiful images. For me I think it would make a wonderful performance or audio piece where you can close your eyes and fall into the wonderful images that Vivian conjures up in your mind!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: NASTY RUMORS AND FINAL REMARKS

My god! The success on this play is not surprising! As an audience, you are introduced to a collection of deep and complex characters as well as a heart wrenching story. This play offers power and emotions in equal stead and is sure to touch as well as entertain audiences! You definitely to read it to see, as I did that its very much as good as its awards history indicates, just be prepared to shed a tear or two!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Neighborly Chat (Ten Minute)

The pandemic brought to life all sorts of interesting ways of interacting and ways of getting to know new people and I think Paul has brought this particular interaction to life in a brilliant way. Not only do you want to know more about the characters you can see but you want to get to know the characters you can't see (Alison's husband and child, Curt's parents or even the people they talk to in their Zoom meetings/calls). Paul has brought to life characters you want to bond with in a scenario that audiences will relate to certainly.
