  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: The Bear - Crib of Doom

“The Adventures of Vampire Bear” sounds like it should be a Saturday morning cartoon show! Outside of that this is a wonderfully witty monologue that provides vivid imagery which will leave the audience wanting to know more about ‘the bear’. A brilliant example of a comedy monologue!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: DEATH IS A BUMMER

Is it real? Is it a dream? The constant twists and turns in this play constantly keep the audience guessing. A fabulously written piece!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Boogie Man

Well I’m not going to sleep tonight! The play escalates perfectly in tension as it goes through. The playwright frames the sinister relationship of the characters and could easily be a full one act play! Brilliantly done!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Petrified Forest

A beautifully thrilling piece that constructs with all the things a horror piece needs complete with a spooky child. It will keep you guessing until the very end!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Walled

As a short piece, "Walled" speaks in droves! They may not have names but the characters imitate so many of the characteristics we see in the human race today. For part it is quite sad to consider that this is what we have become but then the writer lifts us as the audience at the end with a beautiful sign of hope. Wonderful!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: The Jade Palace

This is a wonderful interpretation of the afterlife and all wrapped in a lovely supportive character of Stove, the hotel employee who knows everyone and what they need. The writer has created a wonderful collection of characters framed by a truly unique concept. A brilliant play for a festival!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: To The Occupants

This is a lovely and funny piece that covers the delicate balance of being 'neighbourly' but still being unsure about the 'new people' down the street. Rebecca Holbourn snapshots a lovely relationship of the two characters and makes me want to see a play of what happens at that party! Very well written.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: The Soon-To-Be-Former Ms. Grinch

As a lover of the Grinch film, I couldn't not give this a read and I was not disappointed! Reading through the exasperated words of Ms Grinch I could see the monologue being done as part of a Christmas Variety show and getting a lot of chuckles in the progress. This piece just goes to show its not just the Who's who think "you're a mean one Mr Grinch!" Brilliantly done to John Mabey and if you're an actress looking for something different to perform this festive time, then this is definitely for you!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: The Fab 4

Any piece that brings characters to life in new forms gets bonus points for me and this piece is truly brilliant. As humans (or bipeds) we can sometimes look at a creature and wonder "what are they thinking?" Well John Mabey has taken the thoughts and lives of three warrior insects, set them in a time of crisis and portrayed them brilliantly. The play works brilliantly and is crying out to be seen on a stage!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: A Bottle of Worth

The writer has constructed a truly horrible world for his characters and they all fit into it well with their own personality traits. This becomes more apparent as the dark story twists and turns to its fabulous ending. If you want a play that will hold your audience, keep them guessing and have them talking about it for an hour after they've left the theatre then this is for you!
