Chris has done it again! The fussy mother characters is beautifully portrayed in this quick paced but very witty short piece. Not only is this sure to provide giggles but a lot of the audience will think "my mother is just like that". Another prime example of exemplary work!

While very dark the characters of this piece are fabulously crafted. You wouldn't want to run into them on a dark night but the whole scenario is really well constructed about how life could be depending on how your life panned out. The playwright as constructed and created very well here.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: One Last Stroke

I'm not ashamed to admit this, I cried reading this piece! Anyone who has felt the loss of a pet will feel the writer's beautifully crafted words tug at their heartstrings. At the same time, you are given the privilege of being able to imagine the good times that the writer shared with his pet and therefore potentially remember the good times you had with your own (at least that's how it was for me) and that is a true gift that a writer can give to an audience member. Its wonderfully done and the tears were definitely worth it!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Vinnie Suitcases

I had the great privileage of listening to this as part of a Zoom play reading and it was brilliantly witty with moments of laugh out loud humour. This is coupled with a brilliantly crafted story with a mafia family at its centre and each character more fabulous than the last! Its a brilliantly crafted piece and leaves no doubt in my mind that George Sapio is a truly fabulous playwright. Audiences will love this play because it has a bit of everything. It NEEDS to be performed. Give this a read and you will not be disappointed!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Awaking Sleeping Beauty - A Script In A Day

It is wonderful what Alice Josephs has been able to capture in four pages. She has created wonderful characters set in a piece that wonderfully celebrates the world of ballet. Its a beautiful piece that could be wonderful to be a part of. A really lovely piece.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: To My Dearest Wife Mary

Christopher that was mean! But funny too! I was held by this piece from the very beginning imagining this poor woman following her husband's letters with a few moments of amusement and then....the ending. I laughed I'm not going to lie. I think this could be a great piece as part of an evening of theatre! Very well done!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Fable

I tend to automatically form a bond with plays that have wonderful roles for women and Doug DeVita's play has captured my heart. I've listened to the soundtrack to Gypsy but never actually seen the show. Despite that I truly adore this piece for what it is, A wonderfully written, captivating piece of drama and wit that celebrates as well as dealing with some dark and complex issues. It is very easy to see why this play has proven so popular with other playwrights. I've been a stark admirer of Doug's work and this play has only increased that admiration.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: The Rise and Fall of Socky

I'll be honest, the writer had me at "a mix of Cats and Les Mis." From that point the meeting between the three brilliantly created characters descend into chaos as the writer pitches Broadway's next 'big thing'. I won't reveal too much but I think while the play itself is brilliantly written, the play pitched is one of those examples of 'yes something can be made into a musical, doesn't mean it should!' Its a rib tickling wonderful piece and even a little absurd in places, making it all the easier to enjoy.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Singular of Dice

Right from the moment Noelle walks into the room you can sense something is going to happen. From there we are treated to a swift back and forth between the two characters with the dialogue kept at a really great pace for the piece. The play is full of tension, intrigue and a dark underbelly that will hold an audience captivated. Both characters are brilliant and I think this would make a fabulous radio play as well as stage plays. A fab job done by the writer.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: At the End of my Tether

Starting with a woman who is depressed about her life and the potential of turning 35 (aren't we all!) the playwright then proceeds to take you through a journey through the relationship between Meredith and her father as they sit discussing their lives in a bathroom before taking you on a second journey 30 years previous. The writer creates an emotional roller coaster in both acts which will keep an audience intrigued. All three characters are wonderfully thought out and by the end you can't help but care about them. A wonderful piece.
